A few more murals from Busselton, taken during our trip to Margaret River in December 2019.
These were painted on small containers that sold food at the park just behind the
Equinox restaurant, located on the waterfront.
In the last photo you can see the Equinox restaurant with the black and white mural which I posted on the 20th of April.

This container depicts the Busselton jetty and Underwater observatory (as in the last photo)
This one appears to be a woylie, a local tiny endangered nocturnal marsupial, also known as brush tailed bettong or brush-tailed rat kangaroo.
This container depicts the Humpback, Southern Right, Minke and Blue Whales that use the tranquil waters of Geographe Bay where Busselton is located, as a nursery, playground and rest haven during their yearly migration.
And here is the Busselton jetty , where you either walk or can catch a small train which takes you to the Underwater Observatory right at the end.
...what a great way to jazz up these shipping containers! Thanks Sami for hosting , take care!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom, they do look so much better.
DeleteHow colorful these are Sami! I really love waterfront spots where I can do a stroll!
ReplyDeleteI too enjoy walking on the waterfront, so relaxing.
DeleteThe whales are great! I think I have seen them at the other end of their incredible migratory journey. The painting on those little buildings is such a good idea!
ReplyDeletebe well...mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Thanks Mae, I've seen a couple from far away.
DeleteLove these.
ReplyDeleteThanks R :)
DeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThe containers do look pretty and colorful with the murals. I love the fish and whales. Enjoy your day, have a happy new week!
Thanks Eileen, they do look great. Enjoy your week too.
DeleteIt's a very good idea to transform and decorate containers in tha way. Have a happy week.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kwarkito. Enjoy your week too.
DeleteDearest Sami,
ReplyDeleteLove the Woylie best of all and it is good for raising some awareness due to it being almost extinct.
Hugs,
Mariette
Thanks Mariette.
Delete😲
DeleteVery much fun works.
ReplyDeleteThanks Andrew.
DeleteJá imaginou esses mamarrachos sem essa cor?
ReplyDeleteEram mesmo só uns mamarrachos.
Boa semana
Bem verdade Pedro, nao teriam graca nenhuma. Boa semana.
DeleteAutumn in your banner... I could look up your temps, but I won´t.
ReplyDelete6C here, some freezing 6C and we should nearly go into a fat Spring! ;-) Help!
Awwww, the woylie is so cute, I´ve never seen one!
The candy cow made me laugh :-)
I think it must be horrible to work in these containers,at least the sight is fun and I dearly hope they have aircon?
The jetty is soooo beautiful!
6C is our early morning temperature, by 10am it's probably about 12 and has been going up to about 22 t 27C. Not bad at all, but of course then goes back down after the sun sets! I think those containers are only opened for a couple of hours a day, it would be too hot inside in Summer.
DeleteLove all of these Sami. Gosh you have a much better eye than I :) I missed all of these beauties when we were in Busselton. Your new autumn header is gorgeous xox
ReplyDeleteThanks Grace, the Autumn pic is from about 2 years ago. I think these container are probably seasonal.
DeleteThat makes a festive look for an dull ordinairy container.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marianne, they do look festive :)
DeleteLove that train. So unusual.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mark, it's an old train which has been painted red :)
DeleteAdoro sua página, Sami.
ReplyDeleteUm beijo pra você, meu anjo.
Obrigada Silvio.
DeleteWell Now, How Cool Is That
ReplyDeleteCheers
Thank you Padre.
DeleteI love the style the artist used on these! Thanks for hosting us, Sami!
ReplyDeleteThank you Pat.
DeleteFirst, I am sorry I missed this week at Monday Murals. I just didn't feel up to it. Second, I love that new blog banner. It is adorable.
ReplyDeleteFinally, those shipping containers are showing up everywhere these days. None as pretty as what you found, of course, so I was delighted to see them being used in this way. We have an entire complex that has them here. They have stores, offices, and restaurants in them. Very unique with a second story (or first story in your world). LOVE what you found, dear.
Hope you are feeling better Elizabeth. There seems to be a container revival everywhere, but it's good they are being put to other uses than just sea transport.
DeleteFun, lighthearted artwork! Thanks for sharing and hosting.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda :)
DeleteAlways love a seaside town and those are Wonderful bright colors in the murals ... lovely morning smiles, thank you. But now I really really want to see a real live woylie...an animal I’ve never before heard of.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sallie, glad you enjoyed the murals. I've never seen a woylie either, even when visiting the area :)
DeleteThese are all such happy murals, Sami. Colorful and great fun. Love these a lot more than some of the supersized ones I see!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jeanie, they are quite happy murals :)
