For other signs from around the world please check Tom's blog:
I don't usually drink milk, but a few years ago I tried real "farm fresh" milk when we travelled from Adelaide to Victor Harbour, in South Australia. Wow, it tasted just like the milk I used to drink in my youth, the real creamy thing!
The cheese sign was from a Cheese factory in the coastal town of Denmark, in the south of Western Australia.
Two fat cows (isn't that an hilarious name?) ice-cream is from the town of Margaret River, 270km south of Perth.
Various quirky sugar packets from cafes - photos taken in one of our visits to Portugal. The top two photos are from the "Happy is" series:
Left: Happy is the one that shares happiness / Right: Happy is the one that drinks a coffee and eats a chocolate |
Top: Happy is the one that feels butterflies in the stomach. Bottom: Happy is the one who receives words of love. |
These sugar packets are from "The world needs Nata" - the Portuguese coffee shops named after the famous Portuguese tarts.
These brands are unknown to me but yes the Netherlands has different ones than there with you. I will not know what milk tastes like because I have been lactose free since childhood and it is not really tasty so I do not drink this much. The sugar bags are very nice and also they give and message and that is nice when one uses this. i liked the post and also thanks for your visit and reaction. I wish you a nice continuation of this day.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tine. I quite like the sugar packets, sweet messages and something to read while you have your coffee :)
DeleteUma bela colecção de pacotes de açúcar.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e continuação de uma boa semana.

O prazer dos livros
Sao muito engracados os pacotes de acucar.
DeleteObrigada Francisco.
Oh, Sami! I have printed out a cat "walking" on two legs, repeating "Eggs, bread, milk... eggs, bread milk" - next scene, "Shi#, forgot my mask"... next scene, with mask on, "Shi#... What did I need?"
ReplyDeleteAnd believe it or not the other day I nearly was at the store when I realized... no mask!! What did I want, say it on the way to get the mask!
And one thing was cornflakes and... milk! And it was for Ingo, too!
I´d prefer hand made cheese :-)
Ice cream. Miss the one from Hillary´s, we certainly have nothing like that here. (or Grill´d!)
Not a sugar fan but I "stole" such cute bags from Ingo´s hospital back then.
"King in their belly" - oh, I know a lot of people like that, clever saying. The last one in that series would go to my Brother!
Great ones!
That cat printout would be funny Iris. It happens to me sometimes when I go shopping. I don't write down what I need and I get there and forget half the things!
DeleteOn the way :-)
DeleteVia e-mail. you still have code orange for parcels.
A very nice collection of those brands. All unknown here.
ReplyDeleteThanks SC :)
DeleteWho could resist trying ice cream called "Two Fat Cows"? But, if you eat too much of it you might look like one!
ReplyDeleteThe ice cream is great, but not too much of course :) Thanks David
DeleteUnknown to me as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks William :)
Delete...Sami, you found some great ones! Being a fat cow isn’t A bad things. Thanks for joining the party.
ReplyDeleteI love ice-cream, no problem in being a fat cow :) Thanks for hosting Tom
DeleteLooks good
ReplyDeleteThanks Rupam :)
DeleteFabulous! I haven't drank milk since I was a kid.
ReplyDeleteNata, Portuguese tarts I have a friend that loves them and always gets me a couple when she buys them. We have a large Little Portugal here in Toronto.
Your friend is a keeper Jackie :) Sadly even though we have about 10 thousand Portuguese in Perth, we only have 1 Cafe and no restaurants at all!
DeleteI would love to try the cheese and some of that ice cream.
ReplyDeleteGood choices Marleen 😀
DeleteI got stuck at the ice cream counter. I love ice cream.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day, Sami. ♥

ReplyDeleteLove cheese too Grace. Enjoy the weekend.
DeleteNothing tastes as good a real fresh milk. The real stuff.
ReplyDeleteMB
Real milk does have a distinctive taste.
DeleteIt is nice where signs have a bit of fun about them.
ReplyDeleteI think so too Andrew. Have a nice weekend.
DeleteDearest Sami,
ReplyDeleteQuite inventive and very entertaining messages about or on the food!
Clever as people want to study what they got, like the fortune cooky messages baked inside, they never went away!
Hugs,
Mariette
Thanks Mariette. The fortune cookie has such a long tradition. Love reading those messages too.
Delete😉
DeleteColecção curiosa.
ReplyDeleteO meu padrinho coleccionava chávenas dos cafés.
Obrigada Pedro. Imagino que teria imensas, pois há tantas marcas De café 😁
DeleteGreat looking.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jim 😊
DeleteI enjoyed your collection of brands. All unknown here though.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday!
Thanks Veronica. They are small Australian brands.
DeleteI have no idea about the brands, but I certainly enjoyed seeing milk, cheese, and ice cream signs. Those sugar packets were a hoot. So glad you collected them. I enjoyed these signs, dear.
ReplyDeleteThanks Elizabeth. The sugar packets with messages is something I've only seen in Portugal.
DeleteYou found some great labels to photograph. Had to laugh at Two Fat Cows, and yes, I would be drawn to that ice cream.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great name for ice cream 😁
DeleteI really like these, Sami. They're beautifully designed!!
ReplyDeleteIf I miss some posts, forgive me. My blogger reader list has disappeared (has yours?) The one on the left column of the dashboard. Very frustrated and not getting any help from blogger. Grrr! I'll try to check in but I'm helpless without that list!
Sorry I can't help Jeanie, my reader list is still on.
DeleteNot known to me, but the name 'two fat cows' made me smile.
