Monday Murals - Cityscape

I love murals and street art. If you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme is for you.  Just follow the Linky steps below.  Once you start looking you will find murals everywhere.  The "Monday Mural" meme goes live on Monday at 12,01AM, Perth,Western Australian time. Be sure to link back to this blog and visit your fellow posters. Looking forward to your mural finds this week.  Thanks, Sami.

This cityscape mural can be seen at the Elizabeth Quay station corridor that links the train station to the bus station.

The mural was painted in 2014 by multi talented Perth based artist Leanne Bray.

I have previously posted another beautiful mural by the same artist also at the Elizabeth Quay busport/train station (formerly known as Esplanade station) , which was actually her first large scale mural.

  2. Personally, I prefer this mural to Leanne's flower murals. I guess it's the beautiful graphics that get me every time. This one pops. I also like the asymmetrical repetition, too.

  3. Dearest Sami,
Leanne created a playful decor for the Elizabeth Quay station corridor!
Love the squares, triangles and big circles used as well as the colors.

    1. Yes, quite modern and different from her other mural at the station. Thanks Amy

  6. I like these very geometric and decorative patterns. It is also the joy of the colour-blind, to see so many colours without being able to identify them all. Have a good week, and thank you for proposing this link, which is always so surprising and full of beautiful frescoes

  7. I can only really remember the colourful wall, not really as a mural. I should check my photos.

    1. Maybe it depends on your route from the train station to the bus station. Thanks Iris

  12. The mural is stunning. It would be an added incentive to enjoy the public transit system. I think someone needs to create a mural in your honour, Sami, for showing so much of your city to the world.

    1. Thanks David. There are quite a few murals and sculptures in most of Perth's stations. Maybe a mural artist will paint me someday, lol.
