Lots of signs today from WA Day (Western Australia) which was commemorated on Monday 7th June.
During that long weekend there was a fun festival at Burswood park, that borders the Swan River and across from Perth's Crown Casino, to celebrate the day, obviously mostly aimed at the kids.
For other signs from around the world please check Tom's blog.

Signs at the Bootlegger coffee van - "Mac" = macchiato = expresso with frothy milk |
Noongar language - Hello, welcome to Wadjuk country |
Great signs. I had no idea cause my firefighter calendar got stuck to Marty, aka January, as Grace´s calendar got ruined by water on the way.
ReplyDeleteOh, we could need such a sign for cyclists, it´s madness now with the e-bikes and e-scooters... even worse than before.
Thanks Iris. E-bikes are a menace, so fast!
DeleteThat was certainly fun ! We need it badly with all these lockdowns, open ups, lockdowns again and no travelling I am so fed up!
ReplyDeleteThanks Gattina, lockdowns are not easy and I can imagine a lot of people are desperate for a return to normal life.
DeleteLuckily Perth hasn't been too bad, only having short lockdowns once in a while.
...WA Day looks to be a fun time. The black swan and the WA sign is wonderful. I'm not sure what a "long mac" is though. Thanks Sami for joining the party.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Tom. "Mac" is short for Macchiato - an expresso with frothy milk :) Not a coffee drinker, so had to look up what it was, lol.
DeleteWow, the price for soft drinks and water is just about twice what it is here.
ReplyDeleteThings are expensive here, but our minimum salary is just over double that of the American salary. As of 1st July 2021 minimum wage here is AUD20,33 (US15,20) per hour. Luckily I don't tend to spend money on soft drinks either :)
DeleteBut I am Canadian, not American, Sami, and the minimum wage here is substantially more than in any state in the USA.
DeleteI note you have done as I do, managed to take photos of a probably busy area but without people. Reckless is such an all encompassing word and so open to interpretation. Happy WA WA Day.
ReplyDeleteJust noticed that Andrew, it was quite busy but somehow I managed to avoid people in the photos, lol.
DeleteGostei destes olhares.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e continuação de uma boa semana.

Hugs,
Mariette
Thanks Mariette. We are always learning, which is quite good :)
DeleteColourful signage.
ReplyDeleteThanks William :)
DeleteQuero voltar à Austrália!!!
ReplyDeletePor enquanto ainda estamos "fechados" infelizmente, mas espero que tambem visite Perth quando puder vir Pedro.
DeleteLove the fun signs!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday!
Thanks for your visit Veronica :)
DeleteAll the way with WA.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jim :)
DeleteKaya! Cool signs. I like the reckless driving on too. WA is also short for Washington. Weird huh
ReplyDeleteMB
Thanks MB. Yes I know WA also stands for Washington and Washington State :)
DeleteYou had me at the Black Swan. Happy WA Day, belatedly.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't a real one, but a gigantic one instead :)
DeleteThanks Elizabeth
