Thanks, Sami.
While searching for a "Santa" outfit for a Christmas in July event, where Jose would be dressing as Father Christmas, I went to the Bull Creek Shopping Centre, and when parking I noticed the Library just across from the shopping centre had a new look.
The bird and native vegetation murals on either side of the library's entrance were painted in March/April this year by Italian/Australian artist Jack Bromell.
I had last visited this shopping in March this year, when I saw this mural:

The other side of the shops has these murals:
The bird and native grasses and insects goes nicely with the murals in the other shops in the area. These murals are beautiful, a bit monochromatic, but still beautiful. You find murals wherever you go. My question is, did you find a Santa suit for Jose?
ReplyDeleteThanks Elizabeth. Yes, I found a Santa suit, but not in the 3 shops I went too, nor the 3 op-shops...I then asked in my neighborhood "buy nothing group" and got one minus the hat. But someone else had hats 😅
Delete...the first ones with the limited colors are wonderful!!! Thanks Sami for hosting.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom.
DeleteBeautiful. Such lovely art.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and week, Sami. ♥
Thanks Sandee. Enjoy your week too.
DeleteI like how they stuck to particular shades, makes them more special.
ReplyDeleteThanks Amy, I like the choice of one colour for each mural.
DeleteThat is pretty.
ReplyDeleteThanks William.
DeleteLove the subtle colours of the murals.
ReplyDeleteI would love to leave you a reply on your blog, Teresa, but I'm not on any of those social media sites you offer for leaving a comment.
DeleteThanks Teresa 😊
DeleteVery nice work. The murals could have been a disaster at the centre's entrance if painted in heavy colours.
ReplyDeleteHeavy colours would probably be too overpowering for that area. Thanks Andrew.
DeleteAustralia continues to impress me with its creative use of murals.
ReplyDeleteThanks David, glad you enjoy them, specially all the birds 😀
DeleteOs passarinhos são uma óptima metáfora para deixar a imaginação voar.
ReplyDeleteBoa semana
Obrigada Pedro. Boa semana.
DeleteVery, very beautiful works oh - and I hope for pics of your Santa!
ReplyDeleteI think it will take some years till we get such professional murals here. Is it better in Cologne?
Thanks Iris. Santa pics will come in the July wrap up 😁. Cologne might have more murals, Karina sentvme a few pics shortly after she moved there.
DeleteBirds are popular on murals all over the world I see!
ReplyDeleteThey seem to be a popular subject 😊

ReplyDeleteLovely soft murals that look almost lace like.
Hugs,
Mariette
Thanks Mariette, I do like their muted colours.
Delete💞
DeletePS I had two posts about Australia...
The new murals are beautiful Sami, they are so different from the usual brightly coloured bird murals we see around Perth, very delicate and as Mariette said, almost like lace. Love the soft colours also 💙
ReplyDeleteQuite different with their muted colours, but very pretty nonetheless. Thanks Grace.
DeleteIt's beautiful work Sami. I love how they worked with the colours.
