Mural on the back walls of the Bull Creek Shopping Centre, painted by Kerise Delcoure, and a team of helpers - @traceymoralee, @kknpp11 and @10shakes and others who chipped in to help.
I had first posted part of this mural in October 2019, before the mural was finished (in January 2020), but then totally forgot to go past it again to see the end result, and it's only a 10 minute drive from me.
This mural covers 250 square metres and depicts Australian birds and plants on a background of geometric shapes and bright colours. It was a very long mural and difficult to get it all in...

It is quite huge Mae, thanks :)Delete
...this sure dresses up the wall of the shopping mall. Thanks Angie for hosting, take care.ReplyDelete
Thanks Tom :)Delete
It is a good use of space. I love that it is both realistic and geometric. What impressed (and surprised) me was you have the same mall stores as we have in the states.ReplyDelete
Yes we have Target here too but it's owned by Wesfarmers, so not sure if they have something to do with the American one. Target is popular here for clothing and home decoration. Thanks ElizabethDelete
It's a huge and amazing mural. and a great tribute to birds. I wish you a happy weekReplyDelete
Thank you Kwarkito, keep well :)Delete

Quite a mega task as a mural but nice and colorful.
I wish I knew how long it took her to paint it as it's gigantic!Delete
Who can go wrong with our colourful Aussie birds.ReplyDelete
Quite right Andrew, they look great in any mural :)Delete
I love this mural and those fabulous pastel colors!ReplyDelete

The colour scheme is so unexpected - yet effective & pleasing! The cockatoo is so jaunty!ReplyDelete
Thanks Ju-Lyn, the colour combinations are great.Delete
Glad they commissioned that. Thank you, SReplyDelete
Thanks Cloudia :)Delete
The colors remind me of the 50´s a bit. Of my sewing machine!!ReplyDelete
It´s beautiful, hope you can help me with mine today...
Thanks Iris. Sorry I couldn't help, never seen your mural, I wonder if it's in one of shoppings in the Northern suburbs.Delete
It's great to see local wildlife decorating the wallsReplyDelete
Certainly great to showcase Australian fauna and flora. Thanks DebbieDelete
I like the soft colours.ReplyDelete
Thanks Marianne, the pastel colours are prettyDelete
Restrained colors a little unusual for a mural but no less valuable. It's not such an assault on your retina. Nicely done.ReplyDelete
Thanks S.C. :)Delete
Fabulous murals! That Sulphur-crested Cockatoo would drag me right into the store! Australia really does a great job in featuring its wildlife in its murals. I think it's time for you to develop mural painting skills, Sami, and then we can have a whole portfolio of your work! It will be called "Australia with a Portuguese touch." The coffee table book will be a best seller!ReplyDelete
There are great murals with Australian birds and plants all over Perth.Delete
Not sure I could paint such masterpieces, but thanks for your confidence David :)
Any mural that has birds in it is fine by me. When it's full of colorful Australian birds, even better.ReplyDelete
Such beautiful images! I love this one, Sami!ReplyDelete
Hi Sami :) Mine isn't purely street art but I was in Faro last week and saw some I thought you'd like. Love your pretty birds.ReplyDelete
I like this, the colours are so lovely.ReplyDelete
Have a good week Sami.
All the best Jan
I love birds and I love art, so this one is a winner to me!ReplyDelete
P.S.... table-pics are on - if you have a look... don´t kill me next time, LOL...ReplyDelete
