Monday Mural - Busselton Life II

A few more murals from Busselton, taken during our trip to Margaret River in December 2019.
These were painted on small containers that sold food at the park just behind the
Equinox restaurant, located on the waterfront.
In the last photo you can see the Equinox restaurant with the black and white mural which I posted on the 20th of April.

If you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme is for you;
just follow the Linky steps below.  Once you start looking you find murals everywhere.
Be sure to link back to this blog and visit your fellow posters.  Looking forward to your
mural finds posted this week.   Monday mural meme is posted at 12,01am Monday,
Western Australian timeThanks, Sami.

This container depicts the Busselton jetty and Underwater observatory (as in the last photo)

This one appears to be a woyliea local tiny endangered nocturnal marsupial, also known as brush tailed bettong or brush-tailed rat kangaroo.

This container depicts the Humpback, Southern Right, Minke and Blue Whales that use the tranquil waters of Geographe Bay where Busselton is located, as a nursery, playground and rest haven during their yearly migration.

And here is the Busselton jetty , where you either walk or can catch a small train which takes you to the Underwater Observatory right at the end.

  3. The whales are great! I think I have seen them at the other end of their incredible migratory journey. The painting on those little buildings is such a good idea!

  6. Dearest Sami,
Love the Woylie best of all and it is good for raising some awareness due to it being almost extinct.
    Hugs,

  9. Autumn in your banner... I could look up your temps, but I won´t.
6C here, some freezing 6C and we should nearly go into a fat Spring! ;-) Help!
Awwww, the woylie is so cute, I´ve never seen one!
The candy cow made me laugh :-)
I think it must be horrible to work in these containers,at least the sight is fun and I dearly hope they have aircon?
    The jetty is soooo beautiful!

    1. 6C is our early morning temperature, by 10am it's probably about 12 and has been going up to about 22 t 27C. Not bad at all, but of course then goes back down after the sun sets! I think those containers are only opened for a couple of hours a day, it would be too hot inside in Summer.

  16. First, I am sorry I missed this week at Monday Murals. I just didn't feel up to it. Second, I love that new blog banner. It is adorable.

Finally, those shipping containers are showing up everywhere these days. None as pretty as what you found, of course, so I was delighted to see them being used in this way. We have an entire complex that has them here. They have stores, offices, and restaurants in them. Very unique with a second story (or first story in your world). LOVE what you found, dear.

    1. Hope you are feeling better Elizabeth. There seems to be a container revival everywhere, but it's good they are being put to other uses than just sea transport.
