Travel like stickers in the Louis Vuitton shop window in George Street, Sydney. These reminded me of the travel stickers I would put in my suitcases in my younger days when I was travelling around the globe.
For other signs from around the world please check Tom's blog.
Great idea - I never did this! And it would not be so many anyways ;-) I have two Braunschweig stickers right on my PC-table to cover "bruises" on this 20 year old thing. Not that much travelling!
...I've never been a world traveller and what travelling that I did is on hold. Louis Vuitton sure is a famous name in travel. Thanks Sami for sharing this colorful collection, stay safe so you will be able to travel in the future.
Dearest Sami, Oh, yes we had travel stickers and a belt in the colors of our flag for recognizing our suitcases on the luggage belt... All gone but this is fun to see! Hugs, Mariette
Oh Sami I love travel stickers so much! I have a few and stick them to my bedroom door but the ones I usually get are flag patches that I sew to my backpack and its quite a challenge because my backpack is almost full of them so hopefully I can still have more trips and add a second bag perhaps a sling one :)
I liked travel stickers as well.

Thanks Iris. Covering the bruises, that is funny :)
DeleteAlways nice to see those destinations.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mariette :)
DeleteI remember those days when luggage was bedecked with travel stickers and destinations that seemed exotic back then are now commonplace destinations.
ReplyDeleteYou are right David, I was 18 when I took my first solo trip, all so exotic. Now travel is just easy, relatively cheap and so commonplace.
DeleteHello, love the travel stickers. I collect the hats pins from all the places I visit. Enjoy your day and the week ahead.
ReplyDeleteThat is an interesting collection Eileen.

ReplyDeleteThank you Tom. I think there will be no travel this year for most of us.
DeleteWe had a LV exhibit here a few years ago. It was very enlightening to me as I am not a labels gal. He designed some amazing stuff.
ReplyDeleteIt would have been an interesting exhibition. Thanks Jackie.
DeleteRemember when people used to paste stickers like this all over their luggage? My grandmother has a suitcase with a few stickers on it.
ReplyDeleteYes i think it was very common a long time ago. Thanks Sharon.
DeleteDearest Sami,

DeleteI still use a luggage belt or colourful ribbons to identify our suitcases. Thanks Mariette.
🎒
DeleteThese are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThanks R :)
DeleteHow fun. It would be nice to have a travel sticker for all the places I've visited.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day, Sami. ♥
That would be fun, depending on your travels those could cover more than 1 suitcase Sandee :)
DeleteI wish to travel again soon.
ReplyDeleteI wish to travel too Jim :)
DeleteWOW. You found a great window with all these signs. How amazing. I bet some of these stickers are now expensive to purchase.
ReplyDeleteBeing Louis Vuitton they probably are expensive Elizabeth :)
DeleteI had forgotten about putting stickers all over your suitcase.
ReplyDeleteIt was only when I posted that I remembered them too Andrew, but not when I took the photo.
DeleteNão vou dizer quantas malas e écharpes dessa marca já dei à minha mulher...
ReplyDeleteLucky lady Pedro :)
DeleteAs minhas viagens fora de fronteiras começaram tarde, numa altura em que já não se usavam estes autocolantes, com pena minha.
ReplyDeleteBoa tarde
Que pena Paula, era uma coleccao interessante :) Bom fim de semana.

ReplyDeleteThe flag patch collections should be fun to collect, hope you manage to collect many more patches Stevenson. Have a lovely weekend :)
DeleteI remember those days too Sami, before my fear of flying set in 😉 That's quite a collection!
ReplyDeleteThanks Grace :) Have a lovely weekend.
DeleteThat is one way of decorating the window. I used to collect those awful plastic pendants of where I'd been.
