Monday Mural - in Margaret River, WA

Hello, hope you all had a lovely start to the year and I wish you all a wonderful 2016.

On my recent trip to the south west region of Western Australia with my overseas visitors,
I found this mural by Australian artists Kyle Hughes-Odgers and Ian Mutch  on the main street in the town of Margaret River (in the IGA supermarket wall)

You can check out other murals from around the world here.

  1. Reminds me of the one you can see from the bridge on train station Leederville, is it the same artist?
To you here/the blog a great 2016, too, Sami! :-)

  5. Fascinating! I like the contrast between the geometrics and the carefree animals!

  6. I thought I had seen this style before and it turns out to be true. I like the feeling that this is constructed like puzzle pieces being fitted together. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

  7. Dearest Sami,
Wow, you have been busy; I recognize that part for having overseas guests! Happy 2016 to all of you and you are lucky for having summer time!
Here it is cold, we have a bit of frost during the night but at 11:00 AM only 2 degree C is not warm. And for Christmas it was still 27 C! That's why I got such a bad flu I guess... still not completely over it; a kind of bronchitis is lingering but in a week I hope to be top fit again.
That was a fun discovery, for me the city of Denmark as well!
    Sending you hugs,
    Mariette

    1. Thanks Wren. Happy New Year to you too.
Yes, there seem to be a lot of Denmarks around... The first time someone told me they were going on holiday to Denmark I thought they were going to Europe!

    1. Thanks Wendy, we had a lovely time in Denmark and surrounding area. We just had a cold spell when we were down there and had to light the fireplace every night.
