Christmas in the City

I've had very good intentions to post about our recent trip down South but with visiting family at home, Christmas shopping, sightseeing, plus everyone wanting to use the computer, I've hardly had time to sit down and write some posts! So it will have to wait until the new year!

In the meantime, we went into the city Friday evening (18th) to have a look at the Christmas lights and the delightful light show in the GPO building in Forrest Square.
Hope you enjoy them as much as we did.

In the meantime if I don't get time to post before Christmas I wish you all a wonderful time with your family and friends. May you have a blessed Christmas!

Today we all went into a shopping centre to buy a few gifts and Father Christmas was available for some photos. So we all posed with him for a bit of fun.

Santa and I having a laugh.

  3. Love your photo with Santa - my husband and I did the same with Father Christmas last year as empty nesters!!! The light show looks lovely, it's a nice thing they do in the cities these day.
Have a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year.

    1. Thanks Wren. This was our first time taking a photo with Father Christmas, I didn't even think adults were allowed, but we were given the green light, so we thought we would have a bit of a laugh. Light shows are so pretty!

  8. Dearest Sami,
Oh, having company you can't get your regular things done; there is not enough time in the day!
Love the buildings with Christmas decoration and especially with summer season. MISS that big time, fond memories of our 3 Christmases in Indonesia... Love the tropics but tomorrow and the day after tomorrow we get a record high of 28°C so nothing to complain about!
Merry Christmas to you and yours.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  10. Once again, I apologize for not visiting as often as I should. I always enjoy the visit, but somehow I get caught up and forget.

Your photos of that building are incredible. That building's lights are incredible.

I hope you had a lovely Christmas and I hope you have a safe, enjoyable, and festive New Year's Eve and Day. Hopefully I'll visit more in 2016, because your blog is truly COLORFUL.

  12. Happy New Year Sami, I know what you mean, we had my son, his wife and my granddaughter over from Sydney to stay over Christmas, was so hectic especially as Pax woke at 5am every morning :) I can just imagine how your visitors feel about the hot weather, not too fond of it myself :) We really must try and catch up soon, I'm still staying over at my nephew's to help with the kids once a week but don't think it will continue for the whole three months. We'll get there one day :) Are your visitors still with you?
