  1. First one: Yes.
Here they say doves in the city starve as people don´t come by and throw waste on the ground. Eeeek. Waste!!
The second, oh, yes, respect the claws! But I´ve seen these animals, koalas and kangaroos, wallabies, can be gentle with them, too.
Sadly too late. I was so afraid I might get hurt back then I cried for Ingo´s help!

    1. The sign about the birds was near a restaurant by a lake, so I presume people would feed the birds, ducks, etc all sorts of unsuitable food too.
I've only seen koalas at face level, so had never thought of them climbing over us.

  2. The populations of such birds are controlled by the amount of food they can get. We humans should not feed them. Unless tame, koalas are dangerous animals.

    1. Thanks Andrew, I had never thought of koalas as dangerous, they are smallish and cute, but I have seen their claws so I suppose they could do some damage.

    1. Thanks Grace. I also feed the doves and magpies and have even bought crickets to feed the wagtails that come to our garden.

  12. Sami! Growing up, I really wanted to see Kangaroos and Koalas! the second sign reminds me of a photo of my Grandpa with a Koala on his shoulder, that was iconic to our family! My grandparents loved Australia and that was one of their last trips together before my Grandpa passed away last 2001. Though they had a lot of pictures from their trip with all the sheep and the beautiful scenes on Sydney :)
