I haven't been able to find the name of the artist, but it appears it was a private commission just like the previous mural on those walls (see below).
If you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme is for you;

Be sure to link back to this blog and visit your fellow posters. Looking forward to your mural finds posted this week. Monday mural meme is posted at 12,01am Monday, Western Australian time. Thanks, Sami.
I had a feeling I had seen another mural there a few years ago, and looking through my Mural photo file I realized that it was the same location of the mural below that I posted in May 2016.
I wouldn't want to walk past that sea snake after dark. It looks vicious. But the sea horse and the beautiful lady are great. So glad you shared it and the "before" mural, too. Have a good week, dear Sami. I'll be back next week.
ReplyDeleteThanks Elizabeth, I find the snake scary too, much prefer the lady and seahorse :)
DeleteFantásticos estes belos murais.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e bom Domingo.

DeleteSorry about the linky Mae, I've entered your mural.
DeleteBeautiful. I love all the vivid colors.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and week, Sami. ♥
Thank you Sandee, enjoy your week too.
DeleteEven though it's a private commission it's a shame the artist was not able to add his (her?) name, so that we would be able to recognize other work of his (hers?) if we come across it.
ReplyDeleteThanks David, sadly I couldn't even find anything online about this mural either.
DeleteDearest Sami,
ReplyDeleteThe seahorse is cute.
But the snake mural misses sections of the snake, only its tail and head are shown completely.
You had a good memory of that very same location! So they painted over the previous one obviously...
Hugs,
Mariette
The second photo has the whole snake Mariette. Difficult to photograph closer as the street is narrow.
DeleteTop sections are missing... 🙄
DeleteI don 't like the snakte, the seahorse is a cutie
ReplyDeleteI prefer the seahorse too Bertie :)
DeleteIt is a big improvement on what was there before. The snake looks dragon like to me.
ReplyDeleteThanks Andrew. I actually preferred the previous mural, but glad we don't all have the same tastes.
DeleteI like the aquatic mural the best, um but there's nowhere to add my link.
ReplyDeleteThanks Amy, sorry about the linky, it's now up.
DeleteLong colourful stretches of wall. :)

DeleteThat’s alright. It happens sometimes.
DeleteI know Many people don’t like the snake, but I think I like it! It gives the streetart more character.
Have a great week, Sami!
Incrível ter esta capacidade, é incrível.
ReplyDeleteBoa semana
Obrigada Pedro, boa semana.
DeleteThe lady and the seahorse are very pretty but, that serpent is just a bit scary. Beautifully painted.

ReplyDeleteThanks Iris :)
DeleteNice that people take the trouble to renew a mural every few years and this one is a beauty again. It may be google, but I don't see any linky, sorry.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry Stefan, don't know what happened, but I've now added the link. Thanks
Delete...both are wonderful, but I can do without the snake!!! Thanks Sami for hosting the party.
ReplyDeleteI can do without the snake too Tom. Thanks for contributing :)
DeleteStunning, love the snake (in a painting)!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jackie, better than in real life for sure :)
DeleteOh Sami! I looove the Snake Painting! It looks like Gyarados, the Dragon Serpent of the Sea. Even the color looks like him :)
ReplyDeleteI had never heard of Gyarados, thanks for the info Stevenson.
DeleteI like this one a lot! Thanks Sami. Obrigada! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat :)
DeleteGosh so different from the original one Sami, that was already gone when I took photos of the snake 🐍
ReplyDeleteGlad I managed to get both of them. Thanks Grace
DeleteBeautifully crafted! I cringe at the fierce looking snake but the artistry is excellent.
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda, the snake is a bit scary.
