Just one more day until Spring officially starts in Australia, so I thought I would post a floral mural. It's called "wildflower wall ", painted in September 2018 by local resident artist Lian with the support of Vic Park Collective, and can be seen at Posier Lane, Victoria Park.
I came across it as well as half a dozen other murals, last week when I went to pick up a pair of bedside tables to paint, in the suburb of Victoria Park.
When we moved to Australia 13 years ago we lived in a 2 bedroom apartment in Victoria Park during 3 months until our container arrived from Portugal, and we really loved the area. It's such a vibrant and diverse inner city suburb, full of great restaurants and quaint shops, and just 3km south east of Perth's city centre.
If you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme is for you;
It DOES look like spring. It is a beautiful mural. I like how the horizontal pipe is painted to blend in perfectly. It's a lovely beauty and a fabulous find. You lucked out on getting furniture AND finding this (and more, I'm sure) mural to share.
ReplyDeleteThanks Elizabeth, it was quite a lucky find, plus all the others...
Delete...a beautiful spring flower garden, many I recognize from Maui. Thanks Sami for hosting.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom :)
DeleteThe protea is one of my favourite flowers, they grow well by the beach here.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea proteas would grow close to the beach. Thanks Amy
DeleteNice, and it is not too often wattle bloom is seen in a mural.
ReplyDeleteThe wattles are pretty, thanks Andrew
DeleteThose mural flowers are as beautiful as the real thing! Happy Spring Sami! I wish w3 had beautiful murals like that here in our City!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sallie, a great start to Spring
DeleteYay, I could definitely feel spring. Here is mine for today.

Thanks Teresa :)
DeleteWhat a lovely find. I like the blackboard n'chalk effect.
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring to you.
Thank you for hosting, Sami. :)
Thank you Dee :)
DeleteUma verdadeira celebração da Primavera.
ReplyDeleteBoa semana
Obrigada Pedro.
DeleteIt is beautiful indeed. Oh, but so bitter-sweet, means we go into Autumn. But then... this was no real summer anyways... The coldest I remember. Or the shortest.
ReplyDeleteThanks Iris. What a pity Summer has been short and cold there.
DeleteSo beautiful murals.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week ahead.
Thank you Rupam.
DeleteBonitos murais!

DeleteIndeed very nice mural flowers Sami.
ReplyDeleteThanks SC.
DeleteCan't find any murals here anymore...
ReplyDeleteThat's sad Marianne, I'm sure once this is all over new murals will be painted.
DeleteSpring for you and fall for us. I drove by a mural the other day, something I rarely see, and thought immediately afterwards that I should have stopped to take a picture. I suspect that I might see more of them in the cities, but since I spend my time in rural and forested areas there is not a lot of opportunity for mural watching!
ReplyDeleteThanks David, I supposed you are more attuned to birds than murals, lol.
DeleteSimply beautiful. It makes me miss going to the botanical garden.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon. Our Botanical garden will have their Spring Festival during the whole month of September.
DeleteI absolutely love this. I am looking for a cactus type painting for my bedroom.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jackie. I'm sure that mural would look great in your bedroom
DeleteDearest Sami,
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing the Whattle tree flowers in there; my favorite tree that we grew here (ordered it from Louisiana) but it died...
Hugs,
Mariette
That's sad Mariette, I presume it's not the right climate for it.
DeleteWe occasionally do get some frost and that killed it, especially in a young, not yet hardened stage.
DeleteBeautiful discovery Sami, I love the wattle, especially in spring 🌻
ReplyDeleteThanks Grace, it does look very pretty.
DeleteIt is encouraging that someone is heading into a nice time of year. Autumn is lovely here but I'm not looking forward to winter this year!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy Autumn too, and even though our Winter is not too cold, I don't like Winter at all. But my favourite season is certainly Spring. Thanks Pat.
DeleteGreat tropical flowers, Sami
ReplyDeleteThank you Cloudia.
DeleteWonderful and vibrant.
ReplyDeleteThank you William.
DeleteNice and colorful! Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda. Have a great week too.
DeleteBeautiful mural and well titled. Here's a question. Do they call it spring in September instead of autumm, like in the Northern hemisphere?
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeanie. Our seasons are the opposite of the Northern hemisphere, so you are going into Autumn or Fall as you call it and we are going into Spring, then Summer. We've just came out of Winter, although in Perth it's quite mild.
DeleteThanks, Rick and I were having a "discussion" on that! I win!
DeleteTambém gostei muito destes.
ReplyDeleteTanto talento por esse mundo fora.
: )
Concordo Catarina, ha gente com muito talento.
DeleteLovely photographs of this mural, thanks for sharing it Sami.
ReplyDeleteAl the best Jan
It's quite pretty for sure Jan, thank you :)
