Family Birthdays

I just returned from Sydney, where I celebrated my birthday on Saturday 2nd March, with my husband, with a visit to the Art Gallery of New South Wales, a visit to the Royal Botanic Garden and then dinner at the very hip "The Grounds of Alexandria". (I'll tell you more next week).

At the Royal Botanic Gardens I found the koala topiary. In front of the Sydney Bridge and with Jose in front of the Opera House

On Sunday the 3rd, we got together with a few friends at Casa do Benfica (Benfica's House) for a commemorative lunch with Portuguese food.

Today, Friday 8th of March is my daughter's 34th birthday.
As you can see from the photos Karina is always smiling, and I can vouch that with her smile she somehow conquers the world.
In her short life she has achieved a lot, due to her hard-work and ambition. She's also a good friend to her friends and very close to her family. Happy Birthday my lovely daughter.

Always smiling, from baby to her wedding in December 2018

And to all the ladies I wish you a wonderful "Women's day"!

On Monday 11th March, it will be my Dad's 86th birthday.
Happy birthday Dad, have a wonderful day with family and friends.

Happy birthday to Karina. I believe she is the spitting image of you! Seriously, was she cloned?

Finally, happy birthday to your father next week. He certainly looks happy in all the photos you shared. It's always great to honor someone on their birthday and you did it in spades!!!

  4. Mere mention of the Botanic Gardens in Sydney brings back fond memories of a visit there last September.

    Happy belated birthday to you!
Wow, you ARE Karina's twin-sister... Such striking similarities.
Love your Dad's black & white photo where he was in his 20s.

    1. Thank you Mariette. We do look very similar :) Western Australia is one of the states that doesn't have daylight saving time. The rest turn back 1h on the first Sunday of April.
