Monday Mural - Cockatoos and Turtles

I saw these murals as soon as I parked the car at the Kalamunda Central, shopping centre, when I recently visited the area with my daughter. You can read about the visit here.

Painted by Perth artist Melski McVee in 2017, on two sides of the building - on one wall she painted the Australian natives "red tailed black cockatoosand on the other wall she painted the "long necked turtles". Both are endangered species.

If you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme is for you; just follow the Linky steps below.   Be sure to link back to this blog and visit your fellow posters.  Looking forward to your mural finds this week.  Thanks.

  7. I find this fresco really joyful and very colorful. It gives a little cheerfulness to this wall which still seems quite sinister

  18. These are heavenly! I think I'd just be lost in the moment if I had a chance to stand in front of these beauties like you were privileged to do! They remind me of the back wall mural my senior art students painted in the classroom when I taught high school art (many years ago!) - it was a colorful jungle scene that transformed the room and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
