I cannot remember where I photographed this sign, but probably wasn't in Perth as although I'm not a coffee drinker, the coffee seems too cheap for Perth.
And after Andrew's comment I know it was taken in Melbourne in May 2010.
I just thought the "Sh** Hot soup" was funny.
For more signs from around the world follow this link.
That's a funny one.
ReplyDeleteThanks Diane :)
Delete...yum!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom.

DeleteAt least we are warned...
ReplyDelete:-)
True Paula :)
DeleteI'd probably try that Sami 😀
ReplyDeleteI like hot soup too :)
DeleteVery odd!
ReplyDelete:) Probably meant to be funny.
DeleteHopefully it wasn't "warmed" that way.
ReplyDeleteThanks Adam.
DeleteIts nice that they warn you before.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, at least they warned :)
DeleteThat’s funny ... and would also sell me ....I hate lukewarm soup.
ReplyDeleteI also like my soup hot, but generally only have soup in winter.
DeleteTerrific.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jim :)
DeleteSpicy I guess!
ReplyDeleteI suppose it could be spicy rather than hot from heat...Thanks Pat.
DeleteFunny!
ReplyDeleteMy SIGNS, SIGNS
Thanks photo cache, and thanks for hosting.
DeleteHa... I wish you had a LoL button
ReplyDeleteYes, this calls for a lol button.
DeleteUnder the word Muffin, it says "Voted Melbs best by The Age", so it must be here in Melbourne somewhere. By the cream paint and the way the brickwork is trimmed at the sides of the sign, I would guess the building dates to 1900-1920 and if I had to guess, its an old railway station. By the file name, DSC00119, you had either just bought a new camera or reset your camera. Photos tell great stories. It is becoming rare but we can still get good coffee here in Melbourne for $3.50.
ReplyDeleteWow Andrew you were quite the detective :) I went via Picasa where my photos are also kept and looked with the file name and found the photo to be from Melbourne taken in May 2010!! It could be on one of the city lanes or at least the photos before were. My husband worked in Melbourne for 7 months and I used to fly there often and at that time my sister was visiting from Portugal and I took the opportunity to show her Melbourne too.
DeleteThe camera might have been new then.
Now I know how to look for photos I have no idea where they were taken.
Thanks Andrew :) I hadn't even read that under the muffin, and the photo is blurry.
What an odd sign. Food and excrement should never be on the same sign. Good find for your photo. You have a good eye.
ReplyDeleteJust Australian humour I guess :)
DeletePoint made. Makes me wonder if someone complained about the soup being a tad to tepid. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou have a point there Revrunner, maybe someone complained and they decided to pre-warn.
DeleteA imaginação é uma arma terrível.
ReplyDeleteAté mesmo de promoção de comida :)))
E mesmo, mas claro chama a atencao :) Obrigada Pedro.
DeleteThat's funny, BUT the price of coffee was out of sight. I can see that price for a Starbuck's fancy drink, but not a regular coffee. You DO pay more for your food and drink in Australia.
ReplyDeleteI think in general cost of living here is more expensive than in the States, we do earn a lot more too, but still food is very expensive here!!
DeleteFunny sign indeed!
ReplyDeleteA cuppa, is said, is healthy, and I tried to force one down for a while but.... no. I really don´t like it anymore...
Thanks Iris. I like my tea hot :)
DeleteOh my goodness. That is quite the sign. Don't know if I would want to eat there
ReplyDeleteMB
Lol, just a bit of fun :)
Deletelaughing, funny sign
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary, I thought so too :)
DeleteLove the sign too, don't think you could get away with it here. I see we both "know" Andrew.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jackie. Oh yes, we both do. Don't know if you "know" Grace from Perth Daily? I know her personally and she's actually met Andrew when he visited Perth.
