The artist was born in South Africa and is now based in the small beach town of Dunsborough (south west of Perth), and draws inspiration from animals, landscapes, travelling, stories and patterns.

Another Ian Mutch mural in Margaret River by Ian Mutch, which I posted about in January 2016:
...A wonderful one Sami, but it seems that I just raked up all of our leaves. Thanks for hosting.ReplyDelete
This one seems quite sad compared to the usual ones I post.Delete
I'm glad we don't have many leaves to rake in Autumn :)
Autumn leaves are usually so vivid — it’s interesting that this artist has made them so muted in color. Interesting mural.ReplyDelete

I think the dark background colour helps to make them appear even darker. Thanks Mae.Delete
I like the leaves, my favourite season.ReplyDelete
Thanks Aims. My favourite is Spring :)Delete
I got the leaves, but I didn't quite understand the "flying babies/angels." It was still a lovely mural, and a definite conversation starter..ReplyDelete
Sorry this is the last Monday Murals post until March. I'll be around, just not at Monday Murals.
I tried to find something about the meaning of this mural, but I couldn't, so not sure what those flying babies represent.Delete
I'll see you again in March for the Murals, and in I'll visit you of course Elizabeth :)
here are autumn leaves that arrive a little prematurely (at least in your latitudes). i also like these little characters that fly too. there's a very nice feeling of movement and a very poetic mink. you can feel the wind ...ReplyDelete
Thanks Kwarkito. Yes those leaves are still too early for us, but not long to go until Autumn...Delete
Hello Sami, the leaves are beautiful, lovely mural. Enjoy your day, wishing you a great new week ahead.ReplyDelete
Thanks Eileen, have a wonderful week too :)Delete
It is pretty.ReplyDelete
Thanks William :)Delete
For those interested in the highly charged politics of murals, here’s an article:ReplyDelete

How very sad what is happening in LA. Those murals were brilliant and a piece of history as they say. Thanks Mae.Delete
At times it is nice to not have a riot of colour. Simple and nice.ReplyDelete
Thanks Andrew :)Delete
Thanks Adam :)Delete
Actually I can´t wait for Spring! But at least the cats and sheep (?) have some fun. A little pale for Autumn, too, but, well, maybe the artist is not really a fan, rather a Summer-lover?ReplyDelete
Can't really figure out what is flying around in that mural, lol.Delete
Yes the leaves are a bit pale, or the wall behind a bit bland too.
Can't wait for those autumn leaves for real Sami, this is a lovely mural 🍂ReplyDelete
It's far too hot and humid lately, very uncomfortable. I do enjoy Autumn too. Thanks GraceDelete
Muito interessante este mural.ReplyDelete
Um abraço e boa semana.

O prazer dos livros
Gives me a real autumn feeling despite the parachuted bugs.ReplyDelete
Can't figure out what those things flying around are. Thanks SCDelete
Very nice done, those leaves against the wall.ReplyDelete
Thanks Marianne :)Delete
Thanks Jackie :)Delete
It is lovely and whimsical at the same time!ReplyDelete
Thanks Pat :)Delete
They are huge but wonderfully done in three dimensional look.
Thanks Mariette, glad you enjoyed the mural.Delete
I really like this one, Sami. It's just very, very pretty!ReplyDelete
Thanks Jeanie, not as bright as the ones I usually post, but still pretty.Delete
I like the leaves...so pretty!ReplyDelete
Thanks Tanya :)Delete
The leaves look amazing don't they …ReplyDelete
All the best Jan
Thanks Jan, they do look nice :)Delete
How charming! I love autumn leaves.ReplyDelete
Thanks Linda :)Delete
I love the leaves. Makes me feel like autumn (which we don't really get here in the desert so it's more like a dream of autumn for me)ReplyDelete
Thanks Mary. Our Perth Autumn is also very mild.Delete
