The artist was born in South Africa and is now based in the small beach town of Dunsborough (south west of Perth), and draws inspiration from animals, landscapes, travelling, stories and patterns.

Another Ian Mutch mural in Margaret River by Ian Mutch, which I posted about in January 2016:
...A wonderful one Sami, but it seems that I just raked up all of our leaves. Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteThis one seems quite sad compared to the usual ones I post.
DeleteI'm glad we don't have many leaves to rake in Autumn :)
Autumn leaves are usually so vivid — it’s interesting that this artist has made them so muted in color. Interesting mural.

I think the dark background colour helps to make them appear even darker. Thanks Mae.
DeleteI like the leaves, my favourite season.
ReplyDeleteThanks Aims. My favourite is Spring :)
DeleteI got the leaves, but I didn't quite understand the "flying babies/angels." It was still a lovely mural, and a definite conversation starter..
ReplyDeleteSorry this is the last Monday Murals post until March. I'll be around, just not at Monday Murals.
I tried to find something about the meaning of this mural, but I couldn't, so not sure what those flying babies represent.
DeleteI'll see you again in March for the Murals, and in I'll visit you of course Elizabeth :)
here are autumn leaves that arrive a little prematurely (at least in your latitudes). i also like these little characters that fly too. there's a very nice feeling of movement and a very poetic mink. you can feel the wind ...
ReplyDeleteThanks Kwarkito. Yes those leaves are still too early for us, but not long to go until Autumn...
DeleteHello Sami, the leaves are beautiful, lovely mural. Enjoy your day, wishing you a great new week ahead.
ReplyDeleteThanks Eileen, have a wonderful week too :)
DeleteIt is pretty.
ReplyDeleteThanks William :)

How very sad what is happening in LA. Those murals were brilliant and a piece of history as they say. Thanks Mae.
DeleteAt times it is nice to not have a riot of colour. Simple and nice.
ReplyDeleteThanks Andrew :)
DeleteNice mural
ReplyDeleteThanks Adam :)
DeleteActually I can´t wait for Spring! But at least the cats and sheep (?) have some fun. A little pale for Autumn, too, but, well, maybe the artist is not really a fan, rather a Summer-lover?
ReplyDeleteCan't really figure out what is flying around in that mural, lol.
DeleteYes the leaves are a bit pale, or the wall behind a bit bland too.
Can't wait for those autumn leaves for real Sami, this is a lovely mural 🍂
ReplyDeleteIt's far too hot and humid lately, very uncomfortable. I do enjoy Autumn too. Thanks Grace
DeleteMuito interessante este mural.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e boa semana.

Dedais de Francisco e Idalisa
O prazer dos livros
Gives me a real autumn feeling despite the parachuted bugs.
ReplyDeleteCan't figure out what those things flying around are. Thanks SC
DeleteVery nice done, those leaves against the wall.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marianne :)
DeleteLovely.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jackie :)
DeleteIt is lovely and whimsical at the same time!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat :)
DeleteDearest Sami,
ReplyDeleteThey are huge but wonderfully done in three dimensional look.
Hugs,
Mariette
Thanks Mariette, glad you enjoyed the mural.
Delete😉
DeleteI really like this one, Sami. It's just very, very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeanie, not as bright as the ones I usually post, but still pretty.
DeleteI like the leaves...so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tanya :)
DeleteThe leaves look amazing don't they …
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thanks Jan, they do look nice :)
DeleteHow charming! I love autumn leaves.
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda :)
DeleteI love the leaves. Makes me feel like autumn (which we don't really get here in the desert so it's more like a dream of autumn for me)
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary. Our Perth Autumn is also very mild.
