WTF? Not what you're thinking... it stands for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday š¤£
A sign from Nando's - a South African restaurant franchise, home of the delicious Portuguese flame-grilled peri-peri chicken.
For other signs from around the world please go over to Tom's blog.

E bem bom Francisco :) Obrigada e boa semana.
DeleteI remember that chicken from a holiday in Portugal. Bit sharp in the mouth in my memory.
ReplyDeleteI always ask for mine to be mild as I don't like too much peri-peri.
DeleteThanks SC
Ha,ha, this is funny indeed.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marianne :)
DeleteOh I bet that makes people look twice Sami š
ReplyDeleteI bet it does, I did a double take the first time I saw it, lol.
DeleteWTF - I think that Nando's should send you a cheque for this kind of great publicity!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to send them my post, lol. Thanks David
DeleteHmm, yum!
ReplyDeleteAt the Grumpy Sailor it stands for "Where´s The Food".
That's another meaning for it, lol. Thanks Iris
DeleteHello, LOL, great sign. The food looks delicious, the sign must be working. Wishing you a happy day!
ReplyDeleteThanks Eileen, have a great week.
DeleteWe have a couple of Nando's here too, but have never been.
ReplyDeleteToronto has hundreds of local Portuguese chicken restaurants.
Thanks Jackie. I think we have 2 or 3 different chains, but Nando's is the best.
DeleteI don't know Nando's but it sure looks good!
ReplyDeleteTheir food is quite good, thanks Jeanie.
DeleteDearest Sami,
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a good spicy chicken!
Don't know right now if I would like it that spicy, when we lived and worked in Indonesia I got addicted to the hot peppers as we ate them on the side raw, with snacks. Also the hot spicy Thai food was my favorite... but guess I've kind of weaned off of that addiction over the years...
It was so funny that staffers from Indonesia got to cough, eating the hot Thai food and I did not cringe, they told me I was more authentic Indonesian than they were... Haha.
Hugs,
Mariette
I always cough when eating food that is too spicy, but you can get a Lemon and Herb or Mild chicken at Nando's and both are ok for me. My husband goes for the Hot one as he loves chillies.
DeleteThanks Mariette.
What a funny sign. And yes, I was thinking the obvious meaning.
ReplyDeleteThe first time I saw the advert, I thought the same :) Thanks TFG.
Delete...Nando's looks like the place to go for chicken. It's amazing how popular winds are. Thanks Sami for stopping by, enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom. Wings are popular, but not with me, I prefer more meaty pieces like breast.
DeleteOh that looks so very good. I want that chicken and side.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day, Sami. Big hug. ♥
Thanks Sandee. Have a great day too.
DeleteI bet they knew that.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they did, a clever add. Thanks Adam.
DeleteFunny!!! People will wonder

ReplyDelete:)))))) for a brief moment.... :))
ReplyDeleteThanks Catarina :)
DeleteI heard their ad on radio this week and was laughing at what WTF was.
ReplyDeleteI heard it yesterday too :) Thanks Jim.
DeleteI like the sign, but the ONLY part of chicken I like is the breast, which seems to be markedly absent from the WTF special.
ReplyDeleteI only eat chicken breast too Elizabeth. But 1/2 chicken should have a breast somewhere :)
