Monday Mural - Steak & Shake mural

As we arrived in the city of Porto (Portugal), we dropped our bags in the rented apartment in the city centre and went to park the car in a parking garage indicated to us.
As we walked the 450mt back to the apartment we came across this incredible colourful wall.
The tiled mural on the outside wall of the Steak  & Shake restaurant at Praça de Guilherme Gomes Fernandes 67, was done by  Joana Vasconcelos, a Portuguese artist born in Paris in 1971. It was her first public work of art in this city, and it was finished in March this year.

Joana is well known for her colourful works of art using different materials.

    1. Thanks Iris. He's even wearing a yellow top to go with the mural. From afar he looks a bit like Ronaldo, lol.

  10. Somehow I'm not getting your updates as soon as I should. This finally appeared. Maybe blogger was so shocked by the beauty and really intense color of this mural, and maybe because of the well done swirls and scrolls. Regardless, it's a fabulous painting and mural.
