The "Monday Mural" meme goes live on Monday at 12,01AM, Perth,Western Australian time. Be sure to link back to this blog and visit your fellow posters. Looking forward to your mural finds this week. Thanks, Sami.
More murals from Hayley Welsh, the same artist that painted last week's mural.
These photos were taken in Bunbury (a small coastal city 175km/108miles south of Perth) when we visited in November 2020.
It was painted in 2016 and can be found on the walls of the Australian Red Cross building on Wellington street.
...I love the eyes!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom, they are expressive.
DeleteThe last utility box work makes me smile widely, being both cute and threatening.

DeleteDearest Sami,
ReplyDeleteFor the Australian Red Cross building it seems rather cruel the text with a creature that shows eyes twisted with pain...
Hugs,
Mariette
It might not have been the Red Cross that asked the artist to paint the mural, but all her murals have these animals with "sad" eyes.
DeleteThanks Mariette.

DeleteHi Sami! Just stopping by to say hello and let you know I'm up and running again. Most of the content will be from my visit to England, for a while. I haven't linked today's walk as it's not purely street art but there are a few nice examples in it. https://stillrestlessjo310242783.wordpress.com/2021/09/13/jos-monday-walk-the-canal-beat/
ReplyDeleteThanks Johanna. I'll add your link to the murals too. Glad you had a great time in Leeds.
