Monday Mural - Timber workers

I had mentioned that when we stopped in Bunbury on our way down to Margaret River I had spotted a lot of murals as we walked to Mojo's restaurant.

Here is the first of many, this one in a car park  at 24 Victoria Street, was painted in February 2019 by Western Australian artist Jerome Davenport, AKA Ketones 6000, with the help of his friend mrchrista_mylin, a London based freelance artist.

Sadly I couldn't photograph the whole mural as there were quite a few cars parked in front of it, but you can still see how beautifully detailed it is.

If you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme is for you;
just follow the Linky steps below.   Be sure to link back to this blog and visit your fellow posters.  Looking forward to your mural finds this week.

Monday Mural Meme goes lives at 12,01am Perth, Western Australian time.
Thanks, Sami.

  19. Dearest Sami,
    YOUNG SOLDIERS...?! 😳

    Here is the new historical mural on the side wall of 24A Victoria Street. You can see clearly the story it tells. There are some timber workers with their long cross cut saw, a seedling with soil gently cradled in someone's hands, our jetty in it's working days with a huge crane running along the tracks and ships alongside. On the rear wall, you can see some more workers with a "whim", and the face of an older man, his eyes the focal point What a beautiful piece of artwork representing our history. This uses the tree and the way it connected these industries in our early years. A display like this will give us the opportunity to teach our children about how it was here in Bunbury.

    TIMBER WORKERS! Quite a difference...
    Excellent mural though but I always value a true description!
    Hugs,
    Mariette
