Monday Mural - The parrot

A mural of a parrot I found in Petersham, Sydney during my visit at the end of January 2018. It was painted on the low outside wall of a residence in New Canterbury Road.

Painted by Krimsone, a young artist who grew up in the Blue Mountains, in New South Wales. He studied art at the National Art School in Sydney and fell in love with the art of painting murals.

  1. What a super find Sami. I noticed when I was in Sydney in October last year there is more street art now.

    1. Your comment had gone to spam! I found a lot of art but probably not as much as in Perth.

    1. Thanks Elizabeth, it's strange to see the bird sideways, but it actually catches your attention.

  8. A clever and beautiful mural, Sami.
The big decision for the front of your house always used to be "what colour will we paint the garage door?" - I see the choice is moving on these days!

    1. Thanks Christine, it could be that they just had that small wall to paint it in, but I guess they could have gone with something smaller :)

    1. I suppose they could have painted a smaller mural of something that fit the low wall, don't know why they chose the big bird, but maybe that also makes people stop and wonder...
