Monday Mural - Stormie Mills at Curtain Uni

This mural was part of the dozen of murals painted at Curtin University in April this year for Public Form 2016.
This one painted by Stormie Mills,  who was born in Wales but has been living in Perth since he was 3 years old.

When I went to take photos, I happened to see a quirky car and lots of people around it taking photos. I approached and also took photos and was told the car belong to Stormie Mills.
Cute, isn't it?

  1. I'd never heard of Stormie Mills, but I would call his art rather surreal. Sort of like that car/truck, which I fell in love with! So glad you introduced me to this artist. I must learn more about him and his art.

    1. Thanks Elizabeth. Stormie's art is quite spooky, but his car is pretty cool.

  3. He must be a special person, with his painting and his car. Can he drive around with an open motor?

    1. I'm sure he can Marianne, the car has a number plate, so it's legal. It actually looks like a car someone built from bits and pieces of old metal, etc.

  4. Fascinating mural and car. All our cars are thoroughly vetted before registration 8if they are at all out of the ordinary.

    1. Thanks for the visit Liz. I presume all these out of the norm cars would have to go thorough some sort of inspection as well before they are allowed on the roads.

  8. Dearest Sami,
His art is very unique and with some humor as it conveys a lot.
Don't know about this 'soul-bearing' old timer? Would not feel very safe in driving anything that looks that way. Also very vulnerable for anyone wanting to temper with the engine...
    Hugs,
    Mariette

    1. I agree Mariette, the car or the engine don't look too safe. Maybe he just uses it once on a while...
