Thanks Sami.
When we went to Scarborough Beach in January with our daughter Karina, and again for the Brazilian Carnival in February, I saw this huge mural painted on the walls of the Scarborough Surf Life Saving Club - Scarborough beach is ok! which captures the essence of the northern beach suburb of Scarborough
Painted at the end of September 2022 by ArtbyRow, aka Adam Cicanese, the mural includes a QR code that takes people to a page showcasing what Scarborough has to offer. The mural will probably not be around for more than 3 years, when the council expects further development in the area.
...I love the postcard style of this mural! Thanks Sami for hosting the party this week. Take care and stay well.
ReplyDeleteThat mural gives you a clear idea what is on the Scarborough Beach. You got some amazing shots, dear. I also love the overall shot, too.
ReplyDeleteThat is one incredibly colorful food truck. To my knowledge, I've never had Brazilian food.
This will be my final Monday Mural through April. Every April, I share art each day I recycle, repurpose, or reuse. However, I plan to stop by and see what murals you have shared.
Thanks Elizabeth. The mural portrays Scarborough very well. Brazilians are the second biggest population group living on Scarborough. See you again in May.
DeleteI’ve seen several civic-minded murals where the images of the locale are depicted in the letters of its name, and it’s a neat idea, kind of retro! I love the truck, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Monday Murals!

DeleteAloha, greetings from my beach town - Waikiki -to yours!
ReplyDeleteAloha Cloudia 😀
DeleteGreat. My mural this week is from a beach too. Cheers.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jim, it's a great mural too.
Deletethis wall is very surprising and is a whole program of what can be done on this beach (kwarkito)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kwarkito.
DeleteBeautifully done.
ReplyDeleteThe murals are very beachy, they suit their surroundings.
ReplyDeleteThanks Amy.
DeleteThat's quite a work and must have taken some time to paint. At least if it disappears, you have it on record.
ReplyDeleteThanks Andrew, I would imagine it took a while to paint, and it's a pity it will disappear in a nearby future.
DeleteParsley, sage, rosemary and thyme???
ReplyDeleteBoa semana
Boa semana Pedro.
DeleteBeautiful mural and a beautiful place.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nancy.
DeleteColourful works there!
ReplyDeleteThanks Marianne 😊
DeleteDear Sami, that's a beautiful mural with a lot to discover - it's actually a shame if it's going to be removed after three years. It could also be integrated into the further developed area...
ReplyDeleteI was also very impressed by the mural at the Montessori school from your last post - I love it when wildlife frolics on a mural ❤️!
All the best and a happy new week!
Hugs, Traude 😘

It is certainly sad the mural will disappear in the near future. I think they might build something adjoining the wall where it is painted. Thanks Traude.
DeleteI love the way the food truck is decorated. It would encourage me to spend my money there.
ReplyDeleteI love the style of this one, Sami. Too bad that it will probably disappear.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat.
DeleteAn interesting mural, but the description of "OK" seems like faint praise.
ReplyDeleteYes, I suppose it should be "Scarborough is great" or "fabulous'. Thanks TFG.
DeleteAmazing mural work, Thanks a lot for hosting.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week ahead.
Thank you Rupam. Enjoy the rest of the week.
DeletePerfect for that location.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon.
DeleteI enjoy seeing picture-letter murals. That name is longer than most!
ReplyDeleteI have inserted a new link to my mural post. Thank you, Sami.
ReplyDeleteA great collection of photographs showing this colourful mural.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a Happy April.
All the best Jan
