Monday Murals - Flowers in Hay Street

I love murals and street art. If you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme is for you.  Just follow the Linky steps below.  Once you start looking you will find murals everywhere.  The "Monday Mural" meme goes live on Monday at 12,01AM, Perth,Western Australian time. Be sure to link back to this blog and visit your fellow posters. Looking forward to your mural finds this week. Thanks Sami.

This mural was seen in a small lane just off Hay Street, in the city centre, when I went to meet the Committee members of the Portuguese Australian Women's Association, on the 11th of February.

It was painted by Perth artist Joanna Brown of laelinedesign in October 2021. I can't believe I had never noticed it before on my once in a while forays into the city centre...

In Hay Street I also saw this very modern electrical box.

  5. it's very interesting this mural in the small alley. I also really like the electric box in another design style. It's always a treat to see the diversity of all these proposals (kwarkito)

  6. I like them both, the black against the flowers stands out.

  7. That's a stunning mural on the wall. It appears to be peeling, though. I hope it can be fixed, because the flowers are beautiful.

I am really impressed with the abstract and colorful electric box. What an exciting sight to come across.

  9. It's nice, but in such a constrained area to take it all in, and photograph. What on earth are those wire ball like things?

    1. Not easy to photograph in the alley. Those wire balls are lights Andrew.

  15. Dear Sami, the flower-mural in Hay Street is really very decorative - it's a pity it's in such a hidden small street - no wonder that you didn't notice it. I also find the modern electrical box attractive - it's always good when such boxes are embellished with color and imagination.
Today you will get an old wall painting from me that I discovered on a grain silo in Lower Austria.
All the best from Austria and a good first week of April!
    Hugs, Traude 😘

  17. These murals have a wonderful organic feel with all the roots and branches.

  18. I like them both, Sami. The floral one in the lane is so beautiful but so hard to photograph in such a narrow space.

  22. Thanks to everyone who contributed and commented. I've just arrived home from my trip to Europe, and just don't have the energy to comment individually this time. Apologies for the my late visiting to most Mural post this week, but I visited in between trips while waiting at the airports - some in Lisbon, some in Frankfurt and some in Singapore... Apologies also to those 2 or 3 bloggers where I just couldn't leave a comment at all due to some setting that required me to sign in to google (where I was already signed in), but then wouldn't even let me sign in via the allocated sign, which made for very frustrating blog visits!
Hopefully it will all work out again from now on, as I'm home! Thanks for being patient and continuing to post your murals.
