Monday Mural - Scarborough is ok

I love murals and street art. If you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme is for you.  Just follow the Linky steps below.  Once you start looking you will find murals everywhere.  The "Monday Mural" meme goes live on Monday at 12,01AM, Perth,Western Australian time. Be sure to link back to this blog and visit your fellow posters. Looking forward to your mural finds this week. Thanks Sami.

When we went to Scarborough Beach in January with our daughter Karina, and again for the Brazilian Carnival in February, I saw this huge mural painted on the walls of the Scarborough Surf Life Saving Club  Scarborough beach is ok! which captures the essence of the northern beach suburb of Scarborough

Painted at the end of September 2022 by ArtbyRow, aka Adam Cicanese, the mural includes a QR code that takes people to a page showcasing what Scarborough has to offer. The mural will probably not be around for more than 3 years, when the council expects further development in the area.

  2. That mural gives you a clear idea what is on the Scarborough Beach. You got some amazing shots, dear. I also love the overall shot, too.

That is one incredibly colorful food truck. To my knowledge, I've never had Brazilian food.

This will be my final Monday Mural through April. Every April, I share art each day I recycle, repurpose, or reuse. However, I plan to stop by and see what murals you have shared.

    1. Thanks Elizabeth. The mural portrays Scarborough very well. Brazilians are the second biggest population group living on Scarborough. See you again in May.

  3. I’ve seen several civic-minded murals where the images of the locale are depicted in the letters of its name, and it’s a neat idea, kind of retro! I love the truck, too.

    Thanks for hosting Monday Murals!

  8. That's quite a work and must have taken some time to paint. At least if it disappears, you have it on record.

    1. Thanks Andrew, I would imagine it took a while to paint, and it's a pity it will disappear in a nearby future.

  11. Dear Sami, that's a beautiful mural with a lot to discover - it's actually a shame if it's going to be removed after three years. It could also be integrated into the further developed area...
I was also very impressed by the mural at the Montessori school from your last post - I love it when wildlife frolics on a mural ❤️!
All the best and a happy new week!
    Hugs, Traude 😘

    1. It is certainly sad the mural will disappear in the near future. I think they might build something adjoining the wall where it is painted. Thanks Traude.

  14. An interesting mural, but the description of "OK" seems like faint praise.

    1. Yes, I suppose it should be "Scarborough is great" or "fabulous'. Thanks TFG.
