Looking forward to your mural finds this week.

Thanks Sami

This was the mural I saw outside the Old Jewish Cemetery (Alter Jüdischer Friedhof ) at Grosse Hamburger Strasse, in the Mitte district, when we had dinner at Creasian restaurant, just across the road.

The Mosaic Peace Wall was created by students from 12 Berlin schools and youth organizations representing 62 countries.

From the plaque at the mural : ..."when kids create, they do not destroy. This wall serves as an inspiration for the world's youth to lead the way to an enduring world peace".

  1. First, I an so sorry I haven't had a chance to see your Berlin trip, but I saw that rocking horse metal sculpture outside the Berlin station. Now THAT would be something for my collection!

These mosaic murals are wonderful. I especially like the next to last photo. This is something EVERY human should wish for. What a fabulous find. These are simply amazing.

  13. All the memories, all the savagery, the torture, the summary executions, the burning bodies, the stench wafting across the landscape, the cruelty, the medical experiments, families destroyed, people displaced.....and antisemitism is on the rise again. The leopard does not change its spots does it?
