Monday Murals - Ellenbrook II

I love murals and street art. If you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme is for you.  Just follow the Linky steps below.  Once you start looking you will find murals everywhere.  The "Monday Mural" meme goes live on Monday at 12,01AM, Perth,Western Australian time. Be sure to link back to this blog and visit your fellow posters. Looking forward to your mural finds this week.  Thanks, Sami.

More murals seen in Ellenbrook - a "rural" suburb north-east of Perth - around the Ellenbrook Central (shopping centre).

The first mural with the geometric shapes was painted by Kyle Hughes-Odgers in July 2020. It was inspired by the Ellenbrook landscape, celebrating the Swan River, the brook, local bushland,  sunrise and sunsets.

The following 2 murals painted in the shopping centre walls, I couldn't find the name of the artist, and unable to find anything online either.

    1. Thanks Tom. KMart Australia is a separate entity to the one in the States, here they have over 300 shops

  2. Talk about a study in contrasts. From bold and bright abstract geometric shapes to calm reserved realism, these two murals couldn't be more different. What an amazing find in the same location.

    1. Thanks Elizabeth. Your comments went to spam as you mentioned. I'm getting the odd comment from followers going to spam and then I get spam being published!

  4. If I remember correctly Coles is a food store in Australia. It seems odd to a Canadian, for whom Coles was a bookstore chain stretching back for years. Sadly, it got bought out by one of the mega retailers several years ago.

    1. Yes. Coles is one of the two major supermarket chains in Australia. The Woolworths sign beside it, is the other major supermarket.

  5. i really like the variety of murals on offer here. The abstract one with the geometric pattern appeals to me for its colour scheme, the one with the trees with their beautiful leaves, and with its animals, appeals to me for its rural and stylised aspect at the same time. A good harvest of images in any case

    1. In bigger shopping centres you get them together. We have a new Coles in our area that was built next to the old shopping as there was no place to have it inside, so we have both Coles and Woolies :)

    1. Thanks for joining Amy. KMart in Australia appears to be a separate entity to the States. They belong to Westfarmers and have over 300 shops here and New Zealand. They are popular with budget clothes and house decoration articles.
