About 40 life sized fibreglass cows are on display throughout the city, painted by Australian artists.
Of the ones I managed to see today was "Empire Rose Jersey Girl", certainly my favourite!
"Styled" by Kathryn Cizeika, the Empire Rose designer (women's clothing from Fremantle), it took her 1 month to cover the cow in her signature sequin fabric painted with car paint and embellished with Swarovski crystals.
Just have a look at the detailed photos below.

Some of the other cows around town:
Beauty X Ethics - by Benjamin Kontoolas |
Trans dimensional Cow - by Liam Dee |
Blue - by Olga Cironis |
Amilita - by Audrey Fernandes Satar and Mohamed Arif Satar |
Missy Moo - by Jean and June Pastore |
Ikicow - by Elle Campbell |
Luxury Lady - by Alister Yiap |
This was certainly an overload of photos, I hope you enjoyed the fun cows.
Which one was your favourite?
Delete"Empire Rose Jersey girl" sure is impressive! And I also like "Beauty X Ethics", very cute idea, too.
ReplyDeleteIs there a map available where to find which cow? Maybe after a day or two we recovered enough to go on a cow-hunt.
Yes, there is a map available online and also from the kiosk near the Perth station, but to tell you the truth some cows aren't where the map shows them, still it helps. I'll send you the map link by email.
DeleteThank you, I just answer on the mail... oh, "shoot"!
DeleteThese are all incredible. I remember seeing an incredible Cow Parade in Kansas City, MO. and Chicago, IL in the US. They are a sight to behold. Thanks for sharing these latest beauties.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you've seen 2 cow parades Elizabeth. They bring some colour and fun into the cities.
DeleteThey all look beautiful, so creative!
ReplyDeleteThanks Marianne.
DeleteThey are fab Sami. I saw them this week too, might have to show one or two also 😊 Can you believe we were at Elizabeth Quay taking shots of the ladies dressed up for the Melbourne Cup and I didn't even notice the two cows there.. talk about focused 😀😀
ReplyDeleteLOL, you were focused on the Melbourne cup ladies, they were probably brighter than the cows! I need to return and take some more photos, I was with my heavily pregnant daughter in law and she couldn't walk too much (2 weeks to go...) so didn't see as many as I would like to.
DeleteWow! Totally and udder-ly amazing! My favorite is yours, too. What an accomplishment Jersey girl is! Hope she wins!
ReplyDeleteThanks J, she's a winner for sure.
DeleteAwesome cows! I have seen something like this and it's really interesting to see what different artists do with the same starting material. I liked your favourite and the Trans dimensional Cow, just because the artist did it differently and cut it in half.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sara, all you need is imagination isn't it?
DeleteFabulous cows, very creative !
ReplyDeleteThanks Karl, they certainly make for a livelier city centre.
