In the riverside suburb of Maylands, just northeast of the city, there are quite a few murals. These were photographed last year.
Painted by New Zealand born, Perth resident Graeme Miles Richards, this mural was painted on a garage door at the back of Lyric Lane Bar, in Lyric Lane in November 2022.
On the walls of "Liquor Barons" in Ellard Lane, this mural was painted by Australia artist and author Kyle Hughes-Odgers.
Next week's (16th December) mural post will be my last for this year, as we will be flying to Qatar on the 20th to spend Christmas and New Year with our daughter and son in law, who will be residing there for the next 4 years. I'll be back home and posting Monday Murals on Monday 13th January 2025.
...I love the mural of the woman and cat! Have a safe trip and Merry Christmas and a Happy new year.

Parece mesmo. Obrigada Pedro
DeleteInteresting murals. I’m a person with a camera for a head.
ReplyDeleteLol, I can relate Linda, I'm always photographing .
DeleteDear Sami, this is a wonderful collection of murals. The first one in particular, with the bouquet, broccoli and camera heads, is bursting with imagination!
ReplyDeleteYou wrote to me that a link from me wasn't working. That made me curious, because I haven't linked anything at the moment. I assume you meant the link with the caption "Traudel/Germany"? It's not mine, I'm Traude from Austria ;-) Unfortunately, I don't know who the "other" Traudel(l) is...
I read, you have an interesting trip ahead of you and a meeting with your family: So I wish you all a wonderful time in Qatar, a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
I send you warm greetings from Austria!
All the best, Traude
Thank you Traude. Of course I wasn't paying attention, it's Traudel from Germany (Geriatri'x). I had read your post and noticed that you had no murals. I informed Traudel and entered it manually. I'm looking forward to our trip, it will be different.
DeleteLovely Murals. You will miss your daughter for a long time so far away....
ReplyDeleteThanks Marianne. Unfortunately since she finished her degree she's always worked away, hasn't lived close to us at all - first France, then Netherlands, the Philippines, Germany and now Qatar.
