Signs - Budapest

Some signs from our visit to Budapest, Hungary in April 2018.

Considering I wasn't yet participating int he Signs meme, I'm amazed at the quantity of photos with signs that I took in Budapest. And...looking through this album I found murals I hadn't yet posted, so the will be shown in the near future.

For other signs from across the world please visit Tom's blog.

"Hello Hungary" sign at the airport. I saw 2 more in the city.

                                                         The Zero KM sculpture

                                                                   At the Music shop

At a ladies boutique

  1. I still laugh about Einbahnstrasse. In a friendly, funny way!!!
Was the person laughing, helping you out? I sure would have. And then invite you for a coffee.
Love the ladies boutique-sign! Though, huhhhh. Ingo bought me a sewing machine. Boy, is that complicated!
Ohhhh, the dog, what a sweetheart, best GPS ever!
    Ingo sure´d love the pirate!
Great series! All I know of that country is.... they have great wine. Makes the best goulash hand you even can drink it, the wine, that is.

    1. We hadn't asked anyone, we were both looking at the map trying to find our way.
The dog gps is funny and cute.
Don't know about the wine, as I didn't taste it, but I tasted the goulash and it was delicious :)

  2. Adoro ver estas "decorações" urbanas que sempre embelezam as cidades.

  5. A friend if mine returned from a visit to Hungary last year and was dismayed at the way the country is sliding into autocracy.

    1. That is sad David. I must say I was quite surprised with the country's progress when we visited.

  13. I apologize for taking so long to visit. It was definitely beyond my control. I’m trying to catch up, but it’s harder than I actually imagined it would be, especially with my very slow internet.

I think I'm like everyone who loved the GPS sign. I liked the last one, even if I didn't understand the words. Some of these were extremely clever.

    1. How terrible that you continue to have internet problems Elizabeth.
The GPS dog seems to have been the most popular for sure, he's very cute.
The Nimrod Derringer was a gun shop with the statue of a "pirate" I think hanging above the door.
