In the same lane where I spotted last week's mural at the back of the Alex Hotel and the State Library of Western Australia, which is next to the new Perth Museum, were a few other murals.

Looking forward to your mural finds posted this week. Monday mural meme is posted at 12,01am Monday, Western Australian time. Thanks, Sami.
This first mural was painted by Perth artist Kyle-Hughes Odgers. Don't know when it was painted, but maybe because it's in an out of the way lane backing the hotel and various bars and restaurants, sadly the mural has a lot of graffiti on it.
...Sami, you found a wonderful collection, it's nice to see tha Johnny Cash down to Perth!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom :)
DeleteI love the idea of an Alabama Song bar in Australia -- it's already a German song about an American state. Once sung by Lotte Lenya, once by The Doors ... and must have whiskey oh you know why...
ReplyDeletebe well... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
I know the song "sweet home Alabama", but not familiar with the ones you mention :)
DeleteI just had a listen on youtube. Thanks Mae
A wonderful series of murals. Very nice to see.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill.
DeleteDearest Sami,
ReplyDeleteThe Rock and Roll mural is good, the others are just wild and odd looking.
Hugs,
Mariette
Thanks Mariette.

DeleteBuena serie dedica a laos Murales. Estos son una maravilla.
ReplyDeleteBesos
Gracias :)
DeleteI think I see Johnny Cash in there, not sure who the other is though.
ReplyDeleteAt first glance the middle guy looked like Paul McCartney, but I have no idea who they are meant to be. Thanks Amy
DeleteAccording to the Oxford English Dictionary, the colloquial use of the word dive to describe a “drinking den” or “other disreputable place of resort” comes from the fact that these types of establishments were originally housed in cellars or basements, into which “frequenters may 'dive' without observation. ~ Terrific Murals!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the explanation Karen, I hadn't even thought to look it up :)
DeleteBeautiful find, Sami.
ReplyDeleteThanks Teresa.
DeleteThe first mural looks faded as if it is quite old or received lots of sun.
ReplyDeleteIt's quite possible that those murals have been there for a while, I just hadn't noticed that lane before. Thanks Andrew
DeleteE vivam os murais que embelezam as cidades!!
ReplyDeleteObrigada Catarina.
DeleteApart from the graffiti, this is really so charming. She has such a very sweet face.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeanie :)
DeleteThat's a very colourful lane, I'm sure :)
ReplyDeleteThe first mural is very cute. And the artwork behind those trash cans is very attractive.
Thank you for hosting, Sami.
Have a good week. :)
Thanks for participating Dee.
DeleteFestival de cor!
ReplyDeleteBoa semana
Obrigada Pedro, boa semana.
DeleteOh, so sad and dumb with the graffiti.
ReplyDeleteThe blue installation is cool, too.
And the rock and roll one is my fav.
That blue thing looked like a crown. Thanks Iris, I liked the rock and rock mural too.
DeleteI like the long Odgers mural, shame about the rubbish obscuring the view. But the street art wouldn't be street art if it didn't end up being tagged and partially hidden! Good to see an alley decorated so well.
ReplyDeleteThanks Debbie, specially in a working alley murals are bound to be tagged and hidden behind the bins and boxes.
DeleteAdoro admirar esta arte!! Belos trabalhos!
ReplyDeleteBeijos e abraços.

DeleteGosto muito do ultimo mural.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e boa semana.

DeleteA lot of nice murals again Sami. It is now difficult to find another beautiful one here in the Netherlands, but we are not giving up hope.
ReplyDeleteThanks SC. Hopefully soon life will go back to normal and the artists will start painting again.
DeleteI think that we should resurrect the stocks, put graffiti artists in them and provide passers by with non toxic paint to throw at them. First offenders one day in the stocks, second offenders three days, third.....well you get the picture!
ReplyDeleteI agree David, I hate that some people are stupid and silly and feel the need to destroy someone else's art.
DeleteAmazing how many murals you can find overthere!
ReplyDeleteNew ones seem to be popping up once in a while Marianne.
DeleteEchoing David's comments. I don't understand the need to destroy people's works.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jackie, yes very sad that some hooligans tag other's art work.
DeleteThat's a bountiful little lane Sami. There was a period there when so many murals were getting graffitied, seems to have slowed down a bit, fingers crossed ✨
ReplyDeleteIt was a surprise to find the lane Grace. There sure appears to be less graffiti around.
DeleteThank You, Sami
ReplyDeleteThanks Cloudia.
DeleteIt is sad to see the tagging! It seems that they should respect other people's work!
ReplyDeleteCertainly is Pat, no one should deface someone else's art.
DeleteThe last is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteThanks William, it's quite eye catching.
DeleteSuch beautiful and lovely murals.
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteI grinned at David's comment! Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDelete:) thanks Linda.
