Monday Mural - Beautiful Face - Bondi Beach I

When I visited "Sculpture by the Sea" in Bondi on my last visit to Sydney I photographed a wall of murals at Bondi Beach.
This mural entitled "Island offering" was painted by New South Wales artist Tania Wursig.
The hibiscus wearing lady could very much be at home among the tropical fruits and plants of the Polynesian islands, Hawaii or the Caribbean islands.

If you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme is for you;
just follow the Linky steps below.   Be sure to link back to this blog and visit your fellow posters.  Looking forward to your mural finds this week.  Thanks, Sami.

  1. Nice murals! They look much more like Hawaii to me than like the Caribbean, at least insofar as what I've seen when visiting those locations. However, there's been lots of interchange between the two tropical places, and both places cultivate and feature the same tropical fruits -- especially to tourists!

    1. You may be right Mae, I looked at the fruit which is common to both regions and the lady actually reminded me of a popular Brazilian singer.

  6. *smile* Looking at the facial features of the depicted beauty I would opt for Tahiti or surrounds . . . you have made me feel guilty: I reside but 120km 'down the road' but have never been to 'Sculptures by the Sea' and I lived around the corner for over three decades . . .

  13. I really like this Gauguin-style colourful atmosphere and the message that accompanies this very beautiful image. Sometimes on city walls is written the nostalgia of a world that tends to disappear

    1. I couldn't really see dates on the murals, but upon online investigation, some appear to have been painted as far back as 2010 and the latest in 2018.
