Monday Mural - Cascais, Portugal

While visiting the beautiful beach town of Cascais, 30km from Lisbon, I couldn´t resist searching for murals.
This one was a great find, depicting the House of Santa Maria, built in 1902 and the lighthouse. You can see the original photo at the bottom.
I haven´t been able to find anything about the artist or artists...

House of Santa Maria to the right of the mural, with the lighthouse at the end.

    1. Thanks Elizabeth, apparently there have been a few initiatives in the last couple of years for artists to paint murals, so you can find plenty of them.

    1. Thank you Marianne, I'm glad I saw it, I had told my dad I was going out to look for murals and he remembered he had seen this one somewhere...so we walked and walked and asked people until we found it.

  11. It seems like I can breathe through painting. I smell the breeze flavor through it.

  13. Wow - looks like you had a great holiday I have been catching up! I love this mural, obviously a big emphasis on the steps... maybe leading somewhere important, or is it the stairway to Heaven? It looks a heavenly place to live, I'm pleased to see the reality is more peaceful than the street art! :)

    1. Yes it was great Wren. Have no idea what the mural's staircase represents, stairway to heaven maybe as you say.
