This one was a great find, depicting the House of Santa Maria, built in 1902 and the lighthouse. You can see the original photo at the bottom.

Looks a bit like going through the red sea of Moses. Lovely pitoresque landscape here.

ReplyDeleteI can't believe you find all these murals everywhere you go. I am super impressed and this one is truly unique and very unusual, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Elizabeth, apparently there have been a few initiatives in the last couple of years for artists to paint murals, so you can find plenty of them.

DeleteWhat a wonderful mural this is!
ReplyDeleteThank you Marianne, I'm glad I saw it, I had told my dad I was going out to look for murals and he remembered he had seen this one somewhere...so we walked and walked and asked people until we found it.
DeleteIt seems like I can breathe through painting. I smell the breeze flavor through it.
ReplyDeleteThat's lovely Nicole, glad you enjoyed the sea breeze.
DeleteThat is a beautiful mural!!
ReplyDeleteToday is my turn... I'm flying to Portugal :)
Enjoy your holiday, I'm almost off...Sunday is my last day.
DeleteWow - looks like you had a great holiday I have been catching up! I love this mural, obviously a big emphasis on the steps... maybe leading somewhere important, or is it the stairway to Heaven? It looks a heavenly place to live, I'm pleased to see the reality is more peaceful than the street art! :)
ReplyDeleteWren x
Yes it was great Wren. Have no idea what the mural's staircase represents, stairway to heaven maybe as you say.
