Another mural I saw while holidaying with my family in the South of Western Australia during December.
This lively mural of a VW bus carrying surfboards was painted on the wall of the Surf shop in the lovely town of Denmark.
Painted by a group of young artists that belong to "Tha House" youth group in Denmark.

How neat, I see VWs with surf boards over here on Maui. Back home in New York State we have a Denmark too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom. You probably see the real VW's no? Denmark seems to be a popular name then!
DeleteA cheerful and colorful mural.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit Nicol.
DeleteI see Fillmore! :) (I have little boy at home)
ReplyDeleteThis is a super cute mural too. What a fun find, right?
Thanks for your visit Nambiar.
DeleteFunny - I have that motive over my PC! Without the peace-sign, the bus is blue and only one surfboard, but, yep, I see that every day! I like this color better, though :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's cute. I bet you see thaw 'VW' s daily. We had an orange one fitted for camping when we lived in Braunschweig.
DeleteYes, I remember you told me of travelling Europe in it :-)
DeleteYes, I used to have my office in the plant for years even, now see the plant from my workplace. Not fun these days, VW really made some huge mistakes. Hope I keep my job there, after all I´m external...
Dearest Sami,
ReplyDeleteYou at least did let your Parents leave home with lots of images on their retina and otherwise. Fond memories of so many different things!
Hugs,
Mariette
Thanks Mariette. My Dad who is a keen photographer was thrilled with all the new and different things he could photograph - he took an average of 300 photos a day!!
DeletePerth has the best murals. Great idea to get youth involved like this.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit Diane. I agree gets the youngsters out of trouble!
DeleteThis is delightful! - all the way down to the little sea creatures crawling along the shore. The mural describes youthful carefree fun. I'm sure those artists are very, very proud of their work!
ReplyDeleteThanks J. It really is a fun and youthful summer mural.
DeleteIt's good to see the country towns are getting a bit of colour also Sami. I believe Bunbury has some fabulous street art.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's great for the small country towns to also get some colour! I had intentions to stop in Bunbury too, but we were all tired of travelling and wanted to make it home still during daylight, so gave Bunbury a miss.
DeleteHas a Peter Max vibe, don't you think? Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
ReplyDeleteThanks ODP. I hadn't heard of Peter Max but have checked him out and he uses the same type of colours and happy pictures.
