Other murals seen in Istanbul, Turkey.

Most of them were seen in  the Beyoğlu district, near Galata Tower and others in and around Istiklal Caddesi (street), a 1,4km (0,869 miles) iconic pedestrian avenue is lined with 19th century buildings, vibrant cafes and restaurants and shops and its nightlife with millions of daily visitors as well as street art.

"We are champions" - Mural on a building above the Galatasaray Store. Galatasaray being one of the most famous Turkish football clubs founded in 1905, who in 2025 won the Turkish League for the fourth time in a row.

This stretch of the Istiklal street hosts the club's celebrations after major title wins.

  4. Loving your header image, ok It's hard for me to choose which mural to like the best, I can see the ethnicity of some of them, I recognize Michael Jackson and Anna Nicole Smith? But I think my favourites are the cat, the coffee cup and the piano.

  5. Very beautiful ones. And some memory. We were in Hanover. The Braunschweig Lions (first league) won the American Football game. "We are the Champions" at full blast by Queen was played.
And Ingo and I hurried to the car and headed to my home (Braunschweig, Ingo still lived in Rhüden). He was in so much pain. Next morno - a Sunday: emergency-dentist. Sent us to hospital NOW!!! .... tonsillitis, just before Ingo suffocated.
My life with Ingo.... I know, not the point..... But - oh, yikes. Ingo always.... weekends, holidays..... Madeley... I know others are off worse but heeeeep...
That last mural brought back memories (and I am thankful we´re still around).
