The "Monday Mural" meme goes live on Monday at 12,01AM, Perth,Western Australian time. Be sure to link back to this blog and visit your fellow posters. Looking forward to your mural finds this week. Thanks Sami
Murals seen in Rockingham Road in the southern suburb of Spearwood.
I had gone to an interview at the Spearwood Library to become a volunteer, reading Portuguese stories to kids once a month. I'll be starting that in March.
This first one was at Spearwood Skate Park , painted in 2023 by Kyra Art and Crimson Wolf Art.

...this is beautiful particularly on a cold and snowy day herte. Thanks Sami for hosting, be well.
ReplyDeleteThank you Tom for your participation too.
DeleteDear Sami,
ReplyDeletethe murals you show are all beautiful in their own special way 🤩. I like the slightly comic-like style of the picture at Spearwood Skate Park (and especially the headwear of the two people 😊) - and I would love to have such pretty bus stations here too, where you can pass the time looking at beautiful nature paintings.
All the best from Austria and have a wonderful new week ❄️☃️, Traude

Thank you Traude. We have quite a few very pretty bus stops, certainly makes for an interesting wait :)
DeleteAustralian wildlife such as black swans and other native birds — always very fascinating!
ReplyDeleteThank you Mae, indeed they are.
DeleteWildlife almost always makes for good murals, and these aren't an exception.
ReplyDeleteThank you Andrew. Native fauna and flora are always good art subjects.
DeleteO detalhe é verdadeiramente impressionante.
ReplyDeleteBoa semana
Obrigada Pedro, boa semana
DeleteAwesome series of mural works, Great.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for hosting. Have a nice week ahead.
Thank you Rupam, have a great week too.
DeleteWonderful bus-stop-mural. I especially love the roos. And the swan - hope to see them again. Here is snow-chaos. Came over night. Wish us luck, please and have a happy Straya-Day!
ReplyDeleteThanks Iris, it was a quiet day at home this year. Have a good flight.
DeleteWhat a great bus stop! Ours are glass and often taken over by a homeless (unhoused (PC)) person.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jackie. Here the newer ones are glass and metal, but the older ones are cement, and those seem to be getting murals painted on them.
DeleteEverytime it makes me wonder how you always find so impressive paintings...You must be travelling a lot.
ReplyDeleteHave a good time dear Sami and all the best
Violetta
Thank Violetta. Perth is a very, very long city, about 120km or more now from one end to the other. Sometimes I go somewhere and on the way find murals, so stop and take photos. I had actually gone to an interview to be a volunteer at a library about 20min from home to read Portuguese stories to kids once a month.
DeleteYou found fine murals. I really like the dancers mural, and the bus stop murals are great celebration local birds and animals.
ReplyDeleteThank you TFG :)
DeleteThese are wonderful. You find so many murals, Sami.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat. There are always new murals being painted and I don't think I've seen half of them :)
DeleteThese are all so different. I love that they were just down the way from each other!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeanie, very different styles.
DeleteWhat a coincidence! My post also refers to a skate park. I like your mural better than mine though.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda.
DeleteIt’s also so wonderful that you’ll be volunteering to read Portuguese stories to the kids in March; what a beautiful way to share your language and culture with the community!
ReplyDeleteI actually just shared a new post, too, and I’d love for you to check it out! www.melodyjacob.com
Thank you Melody. I'm looking forward to my volunteering role.
