Murals painted for the Street art festival " "No more blank walls", organized by artist Jerome Davenport, and which took place from the 17th to the 27th of October 2024 in the inner city suburb of Subiaco.
With the title "Studio Window 3", it was painted by Australian artist Fintan Magee, and can be found on Forrest Street, Subiaco.
I went to Subiaco a few days ago to have dinner with a friend and found this new mural in Xantis Lane, near the "Still Life with Pears" that I posted two weeks ago.
Already painted this year (so not part of last year's "No more blank walls", this mural is by Perth artist Jordan Paolillo.

Thank you for this much needed walk in Beauty. Wishing you a good week ahead. Aloha
ReplyDeleteThank you Cloudia.
DeleteAs always you find great artworks. It’s so cold here that I’m not going out to find any new street art — maybe next week? Maybe next year?
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting more intrepid photographers and the ones from better climates or warmer hemispheres.
best…mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Thanks Mae, totally understandable. Difficult to go out when it's cold, and here I avoid going out when it's far too hot! Have a wonderful Christmas and see you in the New Year. I'll probably only return to Monday Murals on the 12th January after our holiday to Tasmania.
Delete...Sami, you found two totally different mural this week. Thanks for hosting, I wish you a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteThank you Tom.
DeleteI like them both but I think the I like the 2nd one better, looks like hard work what the person in the mural is doing. btw I changed my blog name.
ReplyDeleteHi Amy thank you, yes I noticed that :)
DeleteHow delightful that someone painted the new one without the challenge!
ReplyDeleteThank you Barbara. He seems to have painted 2 murals in the area, I only became aware of it when looking up who the artist was. Will have to leave it for another visit.

ReplyDeleteBoa semana
Fintan e um artista fabuloso. Tem sempre uma zona nos seus murais que parece aquele vidro martelado. Boa semana Pedro

Violetta
Thanks Violetta :)
DeleteDear Sami,
ReplyDeleteI immediately recognized the fascinating style of the first mural – Fintan Magee also painted the facade of the Vienna International Centre. (I wrote about it here: https://rostrose.blogspot.com/2024/09/calle-libre-festival-2024-und.html) A truly great artist!
The second mural reminds me a bit of the style of an Austrian cartoonist (who sadly passed away a few years ago). It's funny how the climber is hanging from the window with his ice axe 😊
Oh, wonderful, you're traveling to Tasmania?! Please send my warmest greetings to the beautiful island and tell it I miss it! Your plans for the near future sound so lovely: family, travel – what could be better?!
All the best, have a wonderful time until Christmas 🕯️✨❣️ and a happy New Year,
Traude
