Monday Murals - Subiaco IV

I love murals and street art. If you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme is for you.  Just follow the Linky steps below.  Once you start looking you will find murals everywhere.  The "Monday Mural" meme goes live on Monday at 12,01AM, Perth,Western Australian time. Be sure to link back to this blog and visit your fellow posters. Looking forward to your mural finds this week.  Thanks Sami

Murals painted for the Street art festival " "No more blank walls"organized by artist Jerome Davenport, and which took place from the 17th to the 27th of October 2024 in the inner city suburb of  Subiaco.

With the title "Studio Window 3", it was painted by Australian artist Fintan Magee, and can be found on Forrest Street, Subiaco.

I went to Subiaco a few days ago to have dinner with a friend and found this new mural in Xantis Lane, near the "Still Life with Pears" that I posted two weeks ago.
Already painted this year (so not part of last year's "No more blank walls", this mural is by Perth artist Jordan Paolillo.

  2. As always you find great artworks. It’s so cold here that I’m not going out to find any new street art — maybe next week? Maybe next year?
Thanks for hosting more intrepid photographers and the ones from better climates or warmer hemispheres.

    1. Thanks Mae, totally understandable. Difficult to go out when it's cold, and here I avoid going out when it's far too hot! Have a wonderful Christmas and see you in the New Year. I'll probably only return to Monday Murals on the 12th January after our holiday to Tasmania.

    1. Thank you Barbara. He seems to have painted 2 murals in the area, I only became aware of it when looking up who the artist was. Will have to leave it for another visit.

  15. Dear Sami,
I immediately recognized the fascinating style of the first mural – Fintan Magee also painted the facade of the Vienna International Centre. (I wrote about it here: https://rostrose.blogspot.com/2024/09/calle-libre-festival-2024-und.html) A truly great artist!
The second mural reminds me a bit of the style of an Austrian cartoonist (who sadly passed away a few years ago). It's funny how the climber is hanging from the window with his ice axe 😊
Oh, wonderful, you're traveling to Tasmania?! Please send my warmest greetings to the beautiful island and tell it I miss it! Your plans for the near future sound so lovely: family, travel – what could be better?!
All the best, have a wonderful time until Christmas 🕯️✨❣️ and a happy New Year,
    Traude
