Thanks Sami
The day after the start of our holiday at Serpentine Falls, we drove to the gold mining town of Boddington, about 1h away, and on the way we stopped twice as I spotted murals.
This was the first one just 15 minutes down the road, in the town of North Dandalup, along the South West Highway, next to the North Dandalup Memorial Hall.
It was painted in a water tank by the very talented Perth artist Brenton See, in February 2021. It features native flora and fauna to the local area - the Western Pygmy Possum and a female Red-Trailed Black Cockatoo in flight.
Isn't it stunning?
...there so much to love at this mural, the colors and details. Thanks Sami for hostin and I wish you a wonderful week.

DeleteWhat a treasure trove of art!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cloudia
DeleteVery impressive murals! I'm also impressed that the water tank is located on the ground rather than being elevated.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Monday Murals!
best, mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Yes, it is strange that the tank is on the ground. Thanks Mae
DeleteBeautifully painted. That train looks like it could pop right out of the tank.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon

DeleteWow, this is soooo beautiful! I think I would´ve spent hours there! Very, very well done!!! One hour from... where exactly? Can we go via public transport (reckon not via Transperth)?
ReplyDeleteBoddington was 1 h drive from Serpentine, where we camped. North Dandalup is 15min from Serpentine. No train to that area, a bus would take about 2,30h!
DeleteP.S. I added a movie, Sami! It´s Monday, I am a bit slow today in the cold! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Iris, I've had a look.
DeleteAnd, well... that is too far away... sadly...
ReplyDeleteA bit out of the way unfortunately.
DeleteDear Sami, it's REALLY stunning, and a wonderful way to turn an ugly water tank into a great work of art!
ReplyDeleteWarm rust rose greetings and all the best, Traude 😊
