Monday Murals - Fauna and Flora at Warwick Park

I love murals and street art. If you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme is for you.  Just follow the Linky steps below.  Once you start looking you will find murals everywhere.  The "Monday Mural" meme goes live on Monday at 12,01AM, Perth,Western Australian time. Be sure to link back to this blog and visit your fellow posters. Looking forward to your mural finds this week.

Thanks Sami

Another mural painted by Perth artist Melski McVee in June 2023, on utility boxes at the recently upgraded Warwick Park in the suburb of St James.

The park is bordered by Walpole and Pitt Streets, and the upgrade is part of the Bentley Parkscape Program which delivered upgrades to six parks in the Bentley 360 development. The park is just 200mt (656ft) from the also recently upgraded Dumond Park (mural posted last week also from same artist).

The upgrade included new pathways, the planting of over 40 trees and 3000 shrubs for shade, a bird watering station, nesting boxes and insect hotels which will attract more wildlife, and of course the new mural, all contributing to an attractive space for locals.

  5. Nice. It is interesting how the utility boxes are almost featured, with a concrete surround and screenings on the ground.

  10. Thank you, Sami! All I know of Warwick is the bus-/train station which we take every time we head South! Reckon that will be our stop for a couple of times to explore more! You just pushed my mind forward to February! :-)
I´ll skip the Christmas party to not risk our holiday even... wish us luck. We live in such unstable times I kinda not see us really visiting you... some colleagues are already sick with covid...
Back to the subject: Very beautiful murals!

    1. Sadly not that Warwick. This Warwick park is in St James, near Curtin Uni. Nobody seems to bother about covid anymore, even though there are still people getting sick with a new strain. Thanks Iris
