Monday Mural - The bird and the Fish

These photos were taken in December 2019, when we spent a few days in Margaret River, a much loved holiday town 3h south of Perth.

On one of the towns intersections stood two of these boxes, not sure if they are water or electrical stations, and I don't know who painted them either, but they caught my eye!

If you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme is for you;

just follow the Linky steps below.  Once you start looking you find murals everywhere.

  2. It’s funny how everywhere in the world more or less at the same time people started to create murals on the previously-unnoticed utility boxes. Very nice photos.

    1. It does seem to be a worldwide thing, but I'm glad it's happening as they do look a lot better. Thanks Mae

  3. There seem to be a few of those boxes in my city, but they are all on the Uni campus. Nothing as lovely and as well done as the ones you found, though. LOVE THESE.

    1. Thank you Elizabeth. What a pity the boxes are all on the Uni campus and not available for all to see.

  4. Nice and colourful! I know that phone cable cabinets are sometimes painted here but they should do the same to power boxes too.

  7. They certainly make a difference to something plain and humdrum....but its a wonder nobody has complained about them being a ‘hazard’ ....looking at them rather than the road and other traffic

    2. Thanks Cathy. It is a quiet corner actually, just leads to some small inland towns. And I don't think many people pay attention to murals either, my husband hadn't even noticed it and we had driven by a few times, and I made a mental note to stop day on our last day of our holidays.

  8. Dearest Sami,
That fish has been partly 'eaten' away...
Someone tried his/her very best at creating a colorful artwork.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  9. They would look very ugly without the colourful murals painted on them.

  13. That's a good idea because containers can be pretty ugly, Sami. Glancing back through your posts I love your furniture makeovers too. Have a good week!

    1. I tried to leave a message for you (restlessjo) that read

This is amazing. Looks like there are lots of helping hands. If only everyone was willing to reach out and help, the world would truly be a better place. I love this mural.

Unfortunately, I'm not on Word Press, Twitter, or Facebook, so I was unable to leave you a comment. And I'm sorry, but I'm not willing to join any of these just to leave a comment.
