Monday Mural - Marseille Faces III

Random murals seen in Marseille, during our visit to my daughter's in-laws in September 2017.
We stayed at an Airbnb in the vibrant bohemian quarter of Cours Julien, and as well as a lot of ugly graffiti, there is a lot of street art in the little lanes, shopfronts, garage doors, etc.

If you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme is for you;
just follow the Linky steps below.   Be sure to link back to this blog and visit your fellow posters.  Looking forward to your mural finds this week.

Monday Mural Meme goes lives at 12,01am Perth, Western Australian time.
Thanks, Sami.

  1. Those must be the faces of historic figures, but I'm not sure I know them. Any ideas?

    Here we have Halloween street art in all the front yards -- not exactly murals, but I hope close enough to be ok here.

    1. These were on the wall of a Theater, so I presume they could be actors dressed in character.

  3. Those are beautiful street art paintings/murals. We only have a few murals in my neck of the woods. Thank you for sharing.

  4. Dearest Sami,
    The surface of those window roller blinds does not make them look any better. Rather grim looking...

  6. Some of these faces look familiar yet I can't place any with any great certainty. Quite a project, though.

    1. Either just everyday faces that look familiar or they are movie or theater artists as the murals were on the walls of a Theater. Thanks Jeanie

  13. I can't believe I linked, then got a phone call and completely forgot to leave a comment. These are so cleverly done. The faces look so realistic. It was great to see these instead of graffiti. You made a great find.

    1. Thanks Elizabeth. Yes, certainly better than graffiti and not easy to paint faces.

  15. The faces are a bit "old fashioned". I wonder if they are important people or just someones great aunt and uncle.

    1. I think they must be either Theatre or movie stars, as they were painted on the outside walls of a Theatre. Thanks Joan :)

  16. William is right - one looks like A. Garcia. ;-) I guess it is not easy to paint on roller blinds.
