Monday Mural - Happiness is...

Happy New Year to you all!

Knowing that I'm always on the search for murals, my daughter Karina took me to one of Manila's modern districts - Bonifacio Global City or BGC as it is also know.
Karina had visited the area just after she moved to the Philippines in September 2018, when her partner had to go to Manila for a conference.
They stayed in an hotel here and while he was at the conference she wandered around, found lots of murals, and knew that when we visited I would love to go to this area too.

On the corner of 32nd Street and 2nd Avenue this was the first mural we saw as the taxi driver dropped us.
Unfortunately I couldn't find the artists name or when it was painted, and haven't been able to find this mural online.
A photo of a previous mural in this space painted in 2015 by Californian artist Kristen Farr is below.

It's part of the ArtBGC festival organized by the Bonifacio Arts Foundation, which started in 2015.

If you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme is for you;

Just follow the Linky steps below.   Be sure to link back to this blog and visit your fellow posters.  Looking forward to your mural finds this week.  Thanks, Sami.

While searching for details about this mural I found that on the same corner wall there was previous mural with geometrical shapes painted by American artist Kristen Farr (below: photo from the web)

  2. I wonder what the images symbolize! A tower atop the globe, a giraffe, a zebra...

  10. I think I like the second one (newer mural) better. I like how the children are peeking behind the curtain to an imaginary world of make believe.
