Gifts from a blogging friend

When I went to Portugal in April this year I intended to meet up with Paula and husband Rui from the blogs  https://pontoaquipontoacola.blogspot.com/   (cross stitching blog) and https://manuscritosdagalaxia.blogspot.com/  (movie/film reviews),
but with my niece's wedding and family time I ended up having no free time to meet with them, so I posted her a gift before leaving Portugal.
Paula later sent me a cross-stitch bookmark with my name.

I wasn't expecting anything and enjoyed the surprise.
Just a few weeks ago I arrived home and found a small parcel in my post box and it was a beautiful blue scarf Paula had bought me on a recent visit to Paris.
I love blue and also because my work uniform is navy I've been wearing this scarf quite often specially during our early winter mornings.
Thanks again Paula and Rui.
Hopefully on my next visit to Portugal we'll meet up.

  5. The kindness of people always surprises me, but it shouldn't. You must reserve time when you next visit to meet.

    1. Never late Iris, it's always time. I don't get to visit every day either.
      Have a nice weekend.

  9. Dearest Sami,
Oh, how well we know that feeling of never being able to accomplish all the visits we 'plan and dream of' ahead of such a long-distance travel. Family does consume a great deal of the available time. Too bad that here are only 24 hours in a day!
But how sweet of you for mailing them something instead of the meeting in person. And very thoughtful for them to mail you something as well.
    Sending you hugs,
    Mariette

    1. Thanks Mariette, we do try and spend as much time with the family as possible, but sometimes I wish we also visited other countries, etc.

    2. Knowing this tugging at your heart and feeling guilty too well dearest Sami! Those are the emotional hardships of being an immigrant...💗

  10. Obrigado Sami pelas suas amáveis palavras, certamente que nos iremos encontrar todos para um café, porque não há longe nem distância, como um dia escreveu Richard Bach.
    Desejo-lhe um excelente fim-de-semana!

  11. Isn’t it great how blogging can bring people together? :)
The greatest gift we all get from you is to be able to read and see all the cool places you visit in Australia (and other countries).
