Monday Murals - Bounce

I love murals and street art. If you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme is for you.  Just follow the Linky steps below.  Once you start looking you will find murals everywhere.  The "Monday Mural" meme goes live on Monday at 12,01AM, Perth,Western Australian time. Be sure to link back to this blog and visit your fellow posters. Looking forward to your mural finds this week.  Thanks Sami

"Bounce" is a mural painted in Riseley Street in the suburb of Applecross, on the side wall of Health Freak Cafe. It was painted in 2021, known as "Phaze Youth Mural" and was facilitated by artist Sioux Tempestt as part of an urban art program for young people.

The next murals are in Point Walter on the shore of the Swan River in the riverside suburb of Bicton. There's a beautiful park, picnic areas with barbecues, a Cafe, boat ramps... Not sure who painted the mural.

The rubbish bins (trash cans) also had a message "Take 4 for the shore" - and environmental initiative to encourage beachgoers to pick up and dispose of at least 4 pieces of litter during their visit to the coast to reduce marine pollution.

Aging bus shelters in Perth, painted and decorated as part of efforts by local councils to improve public spaces.

  1. J'aime particulièrement le mural du haut, pour son graphisme très années 80. je le trouve très réussi et spectaculaire

  4. I love the Point Walter work, and those very ugly bus shelters actually look quite good when painted with nice murals.

  7. The "fairy" sure is beautiful! But the "Take 4" makes me sad. We have this once or twice a year where people are addressed to pick up rubbish after "others".
I know some countries where littering is fined - better solution in my eyes!
I remember those bus shelters - yes, with that hole in there so you could see when the bus arrives without getting burned!!!
Oh, gosh "I" am old, LOL. Thank you for those memories and glad they still exist and thank you for sharing. They were a pale green back in the day.
It is raining here btw :-)

    1. We also have the clean-up of the Swan River once a year done by volunteers. Sadly not everyone is civilised! You can get fined for littering but someone has to see it and report. Thanks Iris.

  8. I'm not sure if my linky worked. It sent me in a loop!
I love the vibrancy of the first one.
Why is it so hard to pick up after yourself?? I would never think of leaving my coffee cup on the subway or worse on a piece of art!!

  12. This is so much fun, Sami. Health Freak Cafe is a great name, and with a great Bounce mural. Love the style and colours. On the Swan River, what better than a River Maiden, or so she seems to me. So pretty. The bus shelters are great, especially the first one which blends in beautifully with its background.
