Next to the above mural was this smaller mural of a girl with binoculars, painted by Deeja mural artist and illustrator from Perth.

  1. The wrap-around mural is really neatly done, with the pigeons — are the other sides of that building also painted by the artist?

  2. the mural is beautiful. Even if in real life i don't like pigeons very much. The painting of the woman with binoculars is interesting

  4. The 2nd one is futuristic but the pidgeons remind me of the time I walked in my kitchen and found one wandering around my lounge looking for food

  5. Like Kwarkito, I am not fond of pigeons, but I adore this mural because it wraps around the building. The girl is rather other worldly. I feel she's a bit cartoonish.

Sorry about my link up. This is what happened when I tried to link from a cell phone that did an auto correct to Bleubeard's name. I should have waited till I got home to link.

  6. I suspect that many pigeons don't like humans much so the score is equal. There are about three hundred and fifty species of pigeons and doves in the world, including the one we deliberately introduced into our cities, and continue to exploit if it serves our selfish purposes, so a blanket statement that people don't like pigeons seems like a bit of an overreach to say the least. In a human context it would be discrimination of the first order.

  7. These look quite nice! Pigeon murals are not common either.

  8. The pigeon mural is best viewed from a distance, as in the second and third photo. Very good.

  9. Both are nice murals. Once a pigeon with a wounded wing was found in my garden and it couldn't fly away. I fed it and let it stay in one of tools' shelves for almost 2 weeks before it was strong enough to fly away. I had a tough time clearing its droppings after it left.

  12. Lembrei a minha filha Catarina, pequenina, apavorada no meio de dezenas de pombas na Batalha porque insistiu em dar-lhes comida :))

  14. Our building is having problems with pigeons! Seems like they like to nest on the higher floors!

  15. Pigeons don't usually get a lot of love from artists.

  16. It's so nice to see the humble pigeon honored in a mural. They look quite happy there.

  19. If she is birdwatching, she probably isn’t looking for pigeons.

  20. Thank you all for your comments. Haven't had much time in the last 2 days to spend time online , so I won't reply individually. We have been on the road, now 3 days with my parents and then on the road again.
