Titled "Airborn", it was painted by Darren Hutchens at the Success Youth Centre, across the library, also in the City of Cockburn.
The shapes in the mural were inspired by birds.

...Sami, both are bold and colorful and I love them! Thanks for hosting and I wish you a wonderful week.

DeleteTwo exciting discoveries! I haven’t seen anything new here, maybe next time.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mae. Hope you find a nice mural in your corner of the world one of these days :)

Thanks Violetta, enjoy your holiday :)
DeleteVibrant murals!
ReplyDeleteThat's an attractive abstract mural of birds. And it is lovely to see aboriginal art be preserved and presented like this.
Thank you for hosting, Sami.
Have a great week! :)
Thank you Dee. I couldn't "see" the birds at first, but after looking at the mural again I could make them out.
DeleteTípicos de a land down under.

Have a great week ahead.
Thank you Rupam, have a great week too.
DeleteI love especially the first one. And... Am I glad Transperth has the stations online and I counted them.
ReplyDeletea) I really didn´t want to know how the name "Cockburn" came to life. And b) !!!! The announcement was "Next stop: Coburn". Just like... "Warrick" for "Warwick". The second mural is beautiful, too :-)
Thanks Iris. Cockburn is named after Cockburn Sound, named by Captain James Stirling after Admiral Sir George Cockburn, a prominent British naval officer (1772–1853) known for his role in the War of 1812 and for conveying Napoleon into exile.
DeleteI love your art!
ReplyDeleteThank you Cloudia :)
DeleteThe first looks like bird heads and waves. It's cool.
ReplyDeleteThank you Andrew.
DeleteThat's so wonderful, Sami! I've been collecting murals but somehow not posting them but this week I thought of restarting! So, here's the post http://flightsofthesoul.wordpress.com/2026/04/13/colorful-facades/
ReplyDeleteThank you PR, glad have returned to Monday murals :) Hope to see you again.
DeleteI like the "Airborne" flock of birds in flight very much! And the Aboriginal mural pattern look like wonderful cells in a living being.
ReplyDeleteThank you Debra :)
DeleteI like both of these, Sami. The birds are Escher-like.
