Signs - At the Station

Signs seen at the Bull Creek station - the train/bus station closest to my home.

For other signs from around the world please follow this link to Tom's blog.

(Tom's link opens at 12:00 AM USA Eastern time (1pm Perth time) each Wednesday and closes at 11:55 PM on Saturday)

Take the train - take a break from driving

Our CCTV cameras can see the tag on your shirt, imagine how easily we'll see you tagging a wall
When you get hit by a train other people feel it

  2. I am angry that Transperth has started to cover over train windows with advertising regardless whether it is promoting train travel or is commercial advertising.
I really like the dominating Bull Creek Station sign that speaks to me, this is important and a good way to travel.
The other warning signs are good and meaningful.
When we were in Perth, I did notice the signage was quite impressive.

  3. ...Sami, it nice to see your clean and modern rail service, this is something that we don't have in this area. The car is king here. Thanks for coming to the party, take care.

    1. Thanks Tom. Public transport is quite popular here, buses go around the suburbs and offload passengers to train stations that travel along 4 main routes all crossing in the city centre.
I can either take a bus from a stop behind my street into the station (about 20min) or drive to the station (about 10min) and park there. From the station the train takes 10 minutes to the city centre.

  4. I haven't taken a train trip in years, other than for commuter type travel. Ironically the last two times I did that were in Sydney, NSW and in Hong Kong.

    1. I probably take the train to the city maybe about 10 times a year, as I actually work the opposite way, but bus and train travel is quite popular here as parking is quite expensive in the city. Thanks David

    1. True Jeanie. I haven't heard of people throwing themselves on the lines here in Perth, but apparently in Sydney it happened a few times.

  7. Light rail is a great way to travel around. A comfortable trip with no parking problems. You found a fine collection of signs at this rail station.

  10. Dearest Sami,
Excellent signs and you're fortunate, like in The Netherlands and all through Europe, for having a great Rail System to travel conveniently and cheap.
    Hugs,
    Mariette
