Painted by ADD FUEL aka Diogo Machado, a Portuguese artist who specializes in painting the traditional blue and white tiles in his murals.
I had previously written a post about a beautiful mural he painted in April this year, at Curtin University, Perth, during Form 2016.

How nice to see the traditional and gorgeous tiles as a mural!
ReplyDeleteThank you Marleen.
DeleteIt certainly brightens up the electrical boxes, very nice done.
ReplyDeleteCertainly does Marianne, they look much nicer.
DeleteLove that way of using old tile decorations. Cleverly done.
ReplyDeleteThank you S.C.
DeleteI love the azul tiles. It's nice to see these boxes have been given the azul "treatment".
ReplyDeleteYes, azul treatment is the word! Thanks Halcyon.
Deleteso COOL!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue.
DeleteLovely, but too bad about the tagging.
ReplyDeleteYes, tagging seems to be unavoidable with most of these murals, which is a pity! Thanks Tom.
Deleteit's very nice looking! all electrical boxes should look like this!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit Tanya. I agree they should all have some art painted on them!
DeleteWow, very, very well done murals. Clever idea.
ReplyDeleteThanks Iris, glad you liked them.
DeleteI love how anything can be painted and changing the plain electrical boxes into something gorgeous is a fabulous idea. It's clever how Add Fuel partially covers the box to show the before and after. Stunning work.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week are you dreaming of your next holiday like me?!
Wren x
Thanks Wren. I hadn't thought of it, but really painting the box partially makes sense. A long weekend away end of September, and I start planning for the December holiday (possibly to Tasmania) when my daughter an son in law visit us.
DeleteOh Sami, these are gorgeous. Blue tiles drawn on those boxes are beautiful beyond words. Although there is a bit of tagging, it wasn't so bad that it interfered with the design, which is what was important.
ReplyDeleteThanks Elizabeth. I really like his style.
DeleteI love these. The blue tile motif is so enchanting. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
ReplyDeleteThank you O.D.P.
DeleteLoved these! So beautiful and so Portuguese! It's amazing how something so regular as a boring grey box can become a cool piece of art. Kudos to the artist!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sara, quite true! From boring to fabulous.
DeleteLooove the blue and white tiled murals Sami, I really need to get out to Curtin to check out his piece there, I loved the shots you took of it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Grace. Give me a call when you come to Curtin, we can go for coffee.
DeleteDearest Sami,
